WHAT IS KRUSHNA'S ASHTAKAVARGA SYSTEM (KAS)?

Krushna's Ashtakavarga System was named by Krushna Jugal Kalani who
learned this great science from his guruji, late Shri BrijGopal
Shastri of Amravati (Vidharbha). He cameacross some handwritten
books in his possession on Astrology and ashtakavarga. His fore-fathers
were Raj Jyotishis and were serving only the King. They used to
calculate the chart of the King and the royal family members only.

They would provide daily updates or forecast (based on the chart) to
the king. Since all calculations were done manually in those days,
it was not an easy task. It used to take a long time. Yet
the results found by this method were pin point and quite
accurate and trustworthy. They were highly respected
and duly rewarded by the king. This system was kept as
a closely guarded secret by the Raj Jyotishis to maintain
a monopoly. This system was passed on to eldest son of
the family, so that the son could take the post after his
father’s retirement.

MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM DELAY FOR MARRIAGE BY SATURN:

For the event of marriage maximum delay due the Saturn is 27.5 years of
native’s age. Minimum delay is 25 years. The delay due to Saturn is
related to the degree of the natal saturn in the sign it is situated.
If Saturn enters previous sign in a degree of one navamsa and becomes
retro, the Saturn delay will be not over. If same Saturn enters
previous sign and remains in forward motion till three months,
then we can say, Saturn delay is over.
[video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_Ks--0CDyc]

HOW MANY YEARS JUPITER CAN CAUSE DELAY FOR MARRIAGE EVENT:

Jupiter can give delay for maximum 24 yeras. Now if both Saturn and
Jupiter delay exists in a chart, then Jupiter delay will be considered
after the end of Saturn Delay. This may vary from 10% to
20% of Saturn delay depending upon Jupiter placement in a Sign.
So maximum delay by both will be around 33 years. Jupiter in Libra sign
can give delay for 20% of Saturn delay.
[video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQ-MB6gzpm4]

MARRIAGE DELAY BY SATURN AND JUPITER TOGETHER:

If there is Saturn and Jupiter delay in the natal chart, then total
delay can be minimum 27.5 years and maximum delay can be of 33 years,
depending upon Saturn degree and Jupiter placement.

PLACEMENT OF LORD OF FOCUS HOUSE (B)

If lord of focus house (B) goes to karaka house (A), this will reduce the
quality of focus house. If lord of focus house moves to root karaka house, this
will spoil the quality of focus house (B). Similarly, if lord of focus
house is in 6th (E) or 10th house (D) from focus house, this will improve
quality and will be eager to give result of focus house (B)

WHAT IS ASHTAKAVARGA SYSTEM?

The Ashtakavarga system is a method of calculating the
strength of all the planets in relation to each other
planet. In this system each planet gives beneficial result
for some particular houses from its placement with
respect to other planets. Each such benefic result is
counted by giving one point. Thus we get cumulative
benefic points for each and every house for all the seven
planets and the Lagna.

WHAT IS BHINASHTAKVARGA:

Bhinnastakvarg means the individual ashtakvarg table of
a planet. It shows the benefic sthan/houses from
different planets. Let us take a closer look at the Sun’s
Bhinnashtakvarg table to understand this unique way of
distribution of points among the planets.

HOW TO CALCULATE BHINASHTAKAVARGA?

The total individual contribution of benefic points by any
planet in any horoscope will be the same as mentioned
above. The sum of all the benefic points for all the
planets will always be 337 for any horoscope. This figure
does not change. These are total number of benefic
points for all natal charts.

HOW MANY BINDUS/POINTS DISTRIBUTED/SHARED BY EACH PLANET IN BHINASHTAKAVARGA:

The total number of bindus distributed by each planet in its own
BhinnaAshtakavarga chart are as follows:

Sun: 48 bindus
Moon: 49 bindus
Mars: 39 bindus
Mercury: 54 bindus
Jupiter: 56 bindus
Venus: 52 bindus
Saturn: 39 bindus

These bindus are distributed across the 12 zodiac signs.

WHAT IS SARVASHTAKAVARGA TABLE?

All the Bhinnastak varg points are tabulated in a
single table known as Sarvashtakavarga table. Each
row will represent an individual planet’s point
distribution throughout the houses in a numerical
value from 0 to 8. 0 (zero) being the weakest and 8
being the highest power. At the bottom of the table
all the points accumulated for each house due to all
planets is given. The last column totals up the
benefic points of each planet. The row shows how
the benefic points are distributed for all the 12
houses. The accumulated totals for both the
rows and the columns will always remain 337.

NAKSHATRA MEANING AND THEIR EXPLANATION:

Sun and moon are two luminaries very well visible from
earth by naked eyes, hence treated as the two most
important planets. Their movement is also fixed. Moon
revolves around earth in about 27.25 days. The stars in
the sky are fixed. There is no movement of stars. Moon
travels a certain distance every day, and in 27.25 days it
completes one revolution around the earth and again
reaches the same star (Nakshtra mandal). Thus it
divides the sky in 27 parts. So each division is known as
a Nakshtra. Nakshtras are fixed stars in the sky.
[image:https://kascorner.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Nakshatra-degrees.jpg]

NAME OF NAKSHATRA'S:

“Na –kshtra” means which does not move. There are so
many self illuminated stars in a Nakshatra. Some
beautiful figures are formed by these groups of stars.
The Nakhastra is called by the name of the figure
formed by the stars. So there are 27 Nakshtras and their
corresponding figures. The longevity of each nakshtra is
13 degrees 20 mins. (This may be taken as an average
speed of Moon per day.)

NAKSHATRA'S GROUPS

Nakshtras are further divided in three groups as follows
and named as Group 1 :- 1) Krittika, 2) Rohini, 3) Mrug,
4) Aradra, 5) Punarvasu, 6) Pushya, 7) Ashlesha, 8)
Magha, 9) Purva.

Group 2:- 10) Uttara 11) Hasta 12) Chitra 13) Swati 14)
Vishakha 15) Anuradha 16) Jyeshta 17) Mool 18)
Purvashadha.

Group 3:- 19) U.shadha, 20) Shravan, 21) Dhanishta,
22) Shat-bhisaha, 23) Pu.bhadra, 24) U.bhadra, 25)
Revati, 26) Ashvini, 27) Bharani.

LORDSHIP OF NAKSHATRAS:

Lordship of each group of nakshtras are allotted to 1)
Sun (Krittika), 2) Moon (Rohini), 3) Mars (Mrug), 4) Rahu
(aradra), 5) Jupiter (Punarvasu), 6) Saturn(Pushya), 7)
Mercury (Ashlesha), 8) Ketu (Magha), and 9) Venus
(Purva). Same sequence is followed again for the
second group 10th to 18th as well as for the third group
from 19th to 27th nakshtras.

NATAL SIGNS OR RASI HOUSES AND THEIR LORDSHIP:

In fact, the earth revolves around the sun, but if we
assume earth as stationery then relatively we see sun is
moving around the Earth. From one full Moon day to the
next full Moon day, Sun travels a fixed distance. Thus in
approximately 365.25 days, it comes to the same
nakashtra from where it had started. In this period, Moon
completes approximately 13.28 rounds around the
Earth. But Sun and moon coincide 12 times with each
other.

TOTAL ZODIAC SIGNS:

Hence Sky is again divided into twelve equal
divisions which are denoted as Zodiac signs. Each sign
spans 30 degrees and each is known by the following
names: 1) Aries (Mesha), 2) Taurus (Rishabha), 3)
Gemini (Mithuna), 4) Cancer (Kataka), 5) Leo (Simha),
6) Virgo (Kanya), 7) Libra (Tula), 8) Scorpio (Vrischika),
9) Sagittarius (Dhanush), 10) Capricorn (Makara), 11)
Aquarius (Kumbha) and 12) Pisces (Meena). The
starting point of Aries is taken from the starting point of
Ashvini nakshtra. So in each sign there are 2.25
nakshtras. We will assume that the reader is familiar
with the basics of the nakshatra distribution spread
across the 12 signs.

ALLOTMENT OF KARAKA FOR EACH SIGN:

KARAKA planets for each sign are fixed.
Every month the Sun passes through one sign. On the
day when the Sun enters into Capricon (Makara), is
known as the day of Makar Sankranti. This is a very
important day in our Indian culture, as the Sun starts
asending into the northern hemisphere which is also
known as the ‘uttaraayan’. If we cast a chart on the day
of Makar Sankranti at noon, we will find the Sun poised
in the 10th house i.e., in Makar (Capricorn) sign which is
the 10th house of the (Naisargika or Kalpurusha) Natural
Zodiac Chart where Aries is considered as the 1st House
(Ascendant or Rising). The 10th house of the chart is the
highest point (top most position) in the sky. Sun is the
most powerful planet. So the karakatva of 10th house
(Capricorn) is allotted to Sun which is more logical. This
means Sun is karak for 10th house matters.

WHY WE TAKE KARAKA AS 8TH HOUSE FROM FOCUS HOUSE:

Astronomically, this is based on the phenomenon of refraction
of light. When light enters from a less dense medium to a
denser medium, this causes the apparent bending of light.
In either rays refract by 30 degrees. This means Rays
which are moving in any direction in straight line get
refracted by 30 degrees. Means it gets diverted 150
degrees. This means rays get diverted by one sign. For
example: Suppose Sun is in Aries sign, hence Sun’s
Rays will reach to Virgo sign due to refraction, in stead
of Libra. This means Virgo sign will get powerful sun
rays. Due to this phenomenon, Sixth sign from any sign
is known as Upachay sthan. Upachay means Growth.
This means If the karak planet of any sign is alloted 8th
sign, its rays will fall on that sign with full concentration.
Hence Rays coming from Leo will fall on Capricon. Due
to this reason the karak planet of Capricon; ‘the Sun’ is
alloted lord ship of Leo sign. Hence its rays will fall on
Capricon sign. So when we say that KARAK for Father is Moon,
this is based on Astronomical phenemon as Moon's light which
emenating from Cancer and coming to earth should have fallen
on 10th house however due to Refraction it bends and hits the
9th house and it controls the 9th house quality. Dimmer the
intensity of Moon, weaker is the effect / results of 9th house.
when karak is in phal sthan i.e in 6th from its own house, we
in kas say that the power has increased. sun in capricorn on
makar sankranti is special and a reference point.

HOW LORDSHIPS OF SIGNS ARE ASSIGNED OR ALLOTED?

This way the lordships for the signs are also decided on
the basis of same principle. Which means each planet
has been alloted the lordship of eighth sign, from
the sign for which it has been made karak. In other
words Planets become karak for the sixth house
from their own sign. This way the signs, for which they
are karak, become upachaya sthan from their signs.
Now sixth house from any house is known as Upachaya
sthan, means the house of growth. Hence Sun, which is
karak for the tenth house, is allotted lordship of Leo.
Same way Moon is allotted lord ship of Cancer.
Following same rule, Mercury becomes lord of Gemini
and Virgo. Venus becomes lord of Taurus and Libra.
Jupiter becomes lord of Sagittarius and Pisces, and
Saturn gets Capricorn and Aquarius. The following Fig.
2 shows how Sun, the Karak for Capricon Sign, is
alloted the lord ship of Leo Sign.

WHY OPPOSITE HOUSES HAVE OPPOSITE QUALITIES?

Lagna and the 8th house is the bifurcation line for slow
moving and fast moving planets. Same way lords of 2nd
to 7th houses are inner planets and other house lords
are outer planets. Again Qualities of planets have been
studied by our sages. If we observe two opposite
houses we find that lords of these houses possess
totally opposite qualities, or they are enemies to each
other.

The ancient sages and our great Rishis have
experienced that the sign which rises at the place of
birth, in the east, at the time of birth, is responsible for
the nature and personality of the person.

WHY 9TH HOUSE IS ALLOTED TO FATHER?

If we see keenly, the signs which are 5th or 9th from any
sign have nakshtras which are ruled by the same
planets. This means they can have similar hereditary
qualities. The ninth house of the chart, has similar
qualities as that of Lagna, hence it is given to father, and
fifth house for children. Opposite sign from ninth is the

WHY 3RD HOUSE IS ALLOTED TO MOTHER?

3rd house, so from this house we see matters relating to
Mother. This house is opposite to 9th house of father.

WHY 4TH HOUSE IS HOUSE OF COMFORTS?

4th house is opposite house of 10th house,
hence it indicates opposite quality. 10th house indicates
more effort and 4th indicates home, comfort, relaxation,
happiness. Different matters are seen from different
houses. One house can signify more than one matter or
subject. This must be reviewed as per the age of the
jatak.

LIFE STAGE AND ASHRAM SYSTEM:

The life span of a person is divided in four ashrams. The
first 25 years are called as “Brahmyachrya Ashram”. So
up to this age 5th house is seen for acquisition of
knowledge. The next one is the Grahasta Ashram from
25 to 50 years of age. In this Ashram 5th house plays an
important role for children. The third stage is the
Vanprastha ashram spanning from 50 to 75 years of
age. During third ashram 5th house plays role as a
house of CROWN. The last ashram is the Sanyasa
Ashram spanning from 75 to 100 years of age. Same
5th house becomes the house of Mukti or Moksha. It
becomes eager to give death. It is very astonishing that
in real life results of particular field are experienced from
these houses as indicated above. Our sages must have
come to this conclusion after very deep study and keen
observations.

DOES RAHU OR KETU SPOIL BY PLANETS?

In fact, Rahu, Ketu (the two nodes) may have effect on planets
but there is no effect of the planets on these two nodes or Lagna.
Planets may get spoilt due to Rahu or Ketu, but Rahu or Ketu
will not get spoiled due to any planet. It is for this
reason alone that Bhinnashtakvarg of Rahu, Ketu and
Lagna should not be made (Seven planets +Lagna = Ashtakvarg).

EXALTED AND DEBILITATED SIGNS OF PLANETS:

We know all the planets move around the Sun. The orbit of the planet is
not a perfect circle. It is elliptical. Sun is at one of the
centre of the ellipses. Every planet has its own orbit.
We consider the effect of the planets, taking earth as the
centre. It is obvious that when the planet is near to
earth, it will have more effect on earth. Likewise, the
effect will be less when the planet is away from earth.
This is compared with the relative distance of the planet
from the earth.

WHY A HOUSE IS CALLED EXALTED (UCCHA) OR DEBILITATED(NEECHA) SIGN FOR A PLANET?

When the distance between the orbit of the earth and
orbit of the planet is least, sign which exists at that point
is called as uccha sign of that planet. Same way when
the distance between two orbits is most, the sign on that
point is known as neech sign of the planet. This way
every planet is having an uccha sign and a neecha sign
in a chart. It is obvious that the uccha sign and the
neecha signs of any planet will always be opposite to
each other.

EFFECTS OF EXALTED OR DEBILTATED PLANETS IN A SIGN:

It is generally said that the planet in its uccha sign
becomes powerful and gives powerful results and in its
neecha sign, it is treated as weak and hence the results
given are also considered as weak. This is not
experienced every time. When outer planets are within
45 degrees of the Sun, although they are situated in
uccha sign, no such effect is experienced.

WHEN A PLANET BECOMES MORE POWERFUL:

Similarly, Mercury and Venus (inner planets), in forward motion
and situated in uccha sign, do not give any such results.
When the planet is in retrograde motion and also situated
in uccha sign, it gives more powerful results.

EFFECTS OF RETROGRADE PLANETS:

It must be noted that when
any inner planet is in retrograde motion, it is always
between the sun and the earth. Same way when outer
planets are in retrograde motion, earth is in between the
planet and the Sun. This means retrograde planets are
always nearer to the earth. Therefore more powerful
rays reach the earth. Hence results of such planet may
be good or bad as per its nature. Where as, in KAS
system, timing of any good or bad result is based only
on the power of the planet, determined in the worksheet.
No effect of the sign of the planet is taken in to
consideration. Every student of astrology, reading this
book, must know about uccha and neecha signs of the
planets. The scientific theory about uccha and neech
signs is explained above.

WHICH ARE NATURAL AND FUNCTIONAL KARAKA AND THEIR ROLE?

In the previous chapters we have seen that the zodiac is
divided into twelve signs.Birth chart is also divided into twelve houses.
Each house represents one sign. The Lagna sign is known as
first house, and other houses are counted in anti-clock
wise direction as second house, third house .......and
twelfth house in northern chart style. In southern style
chart, the system of writing the signs in a chart is fixed.
The rising sign in east horizon is known as the
ascendant and it is written as the 1st house or crossed to
indicate lagna. From that house (ascendant), the other
houses are given numbers as 2nd, 3rd, and so on in a
clock wise direction. This is the main difference in writing
the southern and northern style charts.

WHAT IS MEANING OF KARAKA:

In KAS, the word “karaka” means the “doer, the
“maker”, the “significator” or “the one who causes things
to happen”. A karaka Planet (lord of 8th house from
house B) controls the result of house B. The status of
karak planet is responsible for the quality and quantum
of the result. If karak planet is situated in good sign the
result of house under consideration (house B) will be
benefic. If karak is spoiled the result of house B will be
delayed or decreased or denied.

WHY WE CALL NATURAL KARAK?

Planets have natural significations for
certain houses, known as karakas which are indicators
of the natural characteristics exhibited by a planet.
Following same Principle Venus is the lord of 2nd House
(Rishabha/Taurus) in the Kalpurush Chart. Therefore,
Venus is the natural karaka for 7th house, which
represents Marriage or spouse. In the same way Jupiter,
the lord of 12th house (Pisces) is the natural karaka for
the 5th house signifying children. Similarly all the natural
karaks for different houses are fixed following the same
method.

LIST OF NATURAL KARAKA FOR EACH SIGN:

Aries or 1st house Mars (Lord of Scorpio)
Taurus or 2nd house Jupiter (Lord of Sagitarius)
Gemini or 3rd house Saturn (Lord of Capricon)
Cancer or 4th house Saturn (Lord of Aquarius)
Leo or 5th house Jupiter (Lord of Pieces)
Virgo or 6th house Mars (Lord of Aries)
Libra or 7th house Venus (Lord of Taurus)
Scorpio or 8th house Mercury (Lord of Gemini)
Sagitarius or 9th house Moon (Lord of Cancer)
Capricon or 10th house Sun (Lord of Leo)
Aquarius or 11th house Mercury (Lord of Virgo)
Pieces or 12th house Venus (Lord of Libra)

WHICH ARE FUNCTIONAL KARAKA?

The lord of 8th house from any Focus House B is functional karak of
that house. This means, with every Lagna sign, the functional
karaka will also change. Let’s take the example of
Gemini lagna, where the 7th house is Sagittarius. For
marriage purposes this 7th house becomes the Focus
House B and the lord of 8th house from it, is Cancer sign
whose lord is moon. Hence Moon becomes the
functional karaka for marriage for Gemini ascendent.

Same way for Cancer lagna, Sun will be functional karak
for marriage, for Leo ascendant Functional Karak for
marriage will be Mercury (lord of Virgo) and so on.
(Refer the Functional Karaka sample Table no 4 given
above).

HOW TO STUDY QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF A HOUSE:

The quality and quantum of the result of any house
depends upon the strength and placement of the natural
and functional karak planets. We will call the Karak
House as house ‘A’ and the Focus House (for
considering an event) as House ‘B’. These notations,
like House A for karak house, House B for house under
consideration, House C supportive house of house B,
House D and house E, their lords and strong planets
situated in those houses are eager to give the result in
their antra, and House F is root karak house for house
B. These notations will be repeated through out, in this
book as part of our KAS system.

The quality and quantity of the result of house ‘B’
depends upon the strength of the lord of house ‘A’. If
lord of house A (LOA) is strong, result of house ‘B’ will
be good and person will experience happiness from the
result of house B. In case the LOA (lord of House A) is
weak due to any reason, it will definitely hamper or
reduce the ‘result’ of house B. The native of the chart
may feel some difficulties in achieving the result of such
house ‘if’ its natural as well as functional karakas both
are weak. We shall discuss in later chapters how to
ascertain the strength of the natural and functional karaks.

WHICH IS MORE POWERFUL - NATURAL OR FUNCTIONAL KARAKA?

Functional Karak will have a more powerful effect than the natural karak. Yet
should the natural karak be spoilt, then it will have lifelong effect in
native’s life.

IMPORTANCE OF NATURAL KARAKA FOR EACH HOUSE:

The 1st house or the individuality of a person depends
upon the condition of Mars, which is the 8th lord in the
Kalpurush chart (with Aries Rising), so Mars is the
natural karaka of the 1st house. Similarly, for a different
Lagna, the 8th lord becomes the Functional Karaka for
the 1st house. Therefore, the strength of Mars (natural
karaka) and also the strength of the 8th lord (functional
karaka) are responsible for the individuality of the native.

The 2nd house signifies knowledge (Gyan), wealth.
Jupiter or Guru is the natural karaka (being lord of 9th
house – Sagittarius) for the 2nd house. Lord of 9th house
will be the functional karaka for the 2nd house for all
other acendents.

The 3rd house denotes longevity and the 8th house
from 3rd house is Saturn (10th lord - Capricorn) in the
natural Aries chart, which is the natural karaka for
longevity. The 10th lord will be the functional karak for
the 3rd house.

The 4th house is Learning or Vidya and happiness from
home etc. The 11th lord Saturn (Aqarius) is the natural
karaka the 4th house. The 11th lord will be the functional
karak for the 4th house.

The 5th house – When we count 8 houses away from
the 5th, we arrive at the 12th house of Pisces in the
natural Aries chart which is ruled by Jupiter, so Jupiter is
known as the natural karaka for 5th house matters
(Education, Children, honours etc). 12rd lord for any
other Rising chart is known as the functional karak for
5th house. Children are seen from 5th house, and Jupiter
is natural Karaka for Children.

The 6th house stands for Enemies, Health, Social
status and diseases etc. Mars, the 8th lord from the 6th
house of the Kalpurush chart is the Natural karaka of the
6th house. Lagna lord is the functional karaka for 6th house.

7th house signifies marriage, so the 2nd lord Venus
is the natural karaka for an Aries Rising chart, for the 7th
house. The 2nd lord is the functional karaka for 7th house
for all other Ascendants.

The 8th house is known as the house of Maha Phalam,
Heridation, Death, Moksha, etc., and 8 houses away
from it is the 3rd house. Therefore, the 3rd lord Mercury
becomes the natural karaka for the 8th house for Aries
Rising. For all other Ascendants the 3rd lord becomes
the functional karak of the 8th house.

The 9th house indicates the Luck factor, Father, Guru.
The Moon is the natural karaka for it. Events of life and
luck are determined by Vimshottari Mahadasha. Hence
Vimshottari dasha is calculated as per the Moon’s
Nakshtra and longitude. For all other Ascendants, the
4th lord becomes the functional karak for 9th house
matters.

The 10th house stands for authority. The 8th house from
the 10th house house is the 5th house and its lord, Sun is
the natural karaka for it. 10th house is the highest
position and is called the Atma (soul) of the chart. So the
Sun is also known as the Atmakaraka. The 5th lord is
the functional karaka for 10th house matters.

The 11th house stands for Income and Desires and
Mercury, lord of Virgo, is the natural karaka for it. Same
way, 6th lord in any chart is the functional karak for the
11th house.

The 12th house, also known as Moksha
(enlightenment), bed comforts, expenditure, jail, etc, has
Venus as its natural karaka which is the 7th lord. Same
way, 7th lord in any chart is the functional karak for the
12th house matters.

GENERAL KARAKA CONCEPTS

Planets situated in 8th house from their own sign are
said to be debilitated. Indirectly their karakatva is also
reduced. In the same way, if the Karkatva of any planet
gets spoiled due to any other reason; definitely it will
hamper the result as a karak. Hence if the karaka
planets are debilitated, the overall results will be
affected in the following ways:

EFFECT OF JUPITER IN LIBRA SIGN FOR MARRRIAGE EVENT:

• Jupiter in Libra (Jupiter lord of Pisces situated in 8th
house from Pisces) loses all of its benefic qualities.
Jupiter as the lord of Pisces, is the karaka for 5th house,
hence it may delay the result pertaining to the 5th house
also. Twelth house shows next generation result of
marriage. As its lord is situated in karak house it will
affect the result of 12th house. Indirectly this may be the
main cause for delay in marriage.

• The karaka planet, lord of house ‘A’, is normally
associated with the Mahadasha lord for the events
related to house ‘B’. This means its powerful Samdharmi
can give such result in its Mahadasha, subject to the
condition that its Mahadasha comes earlier and at the
proper age of occurance of the event.

 • If lord of house “A” (Karak house) is having 7th sight
on its own house ‘A’, it cannot give the result for house
‘B’ in its Mahadasha. In such a case, another
Samdharmi planet comes forward to give the results.
This law gets nullified if karak planet is situated in its
own Navamsha.

• If Navamansha lord of karak planet is situated in 12th
sign from house ‘A’, its karakatva will be reduced. In this
case the karakansha planet aspects house ‘B’ by
seventh sight. Such sight affects on the happiness of the
result of house ‘B’. Such sight of karakansha will delay,
decrease or deny the result og house B.

• If karak planet of any house is spoilt, then the result of
that house is delayed or gets spoilt or happiness gets
reduced.

If any planet is situated in karak house with more than 4
points, it will also influence the karakatva for the house
‘B’. The effect of such planet/s will be connected to its
natural and functional karakatva.

WHICH IS A ROOT KARAKA PLANET(MOOL KARAK)

Rootkarak is third house from focus house B. Rootkarak is
Karak of Karak house(A) for house B. For detail, watch the video.

MORE EXPLANATION OF ROOT KARAKA

We know that the Focus House is denoted by the
alphabet “B”. The 8th house from House ‘B’ is denoted
as House ‘A’, which is the Karaka House. Lord of house
A (LOA) is known as the Natural Karaka (for Natural
Chart with Aries Rising) or the Functional Karaka (for all
other Ascendants except for Aries rising where both are
one and the same) for House B matters. Likewise, 8th
house from karak house ‘A’ is denoted as ‘F’. It is the
Functional root karak house of House B. The Lord of
house F (LOF) is known as Functional Root Karak or
Mool karak for House B. The root karak house (‘F’) is
third from House “B”. In the natural chart, it is known as
the Natural Root Karak. The strength of lord of root
karak house ‘F’ (LOF) is also responsible for the result
of House ‘B’. 3rd lord counted from any house under
consideration (“B”) is the Functional Root Karak for
House B.

If any planet is situated in its karak house,
the result of its own sign X will get diminished. At the
same time it will also affect the result of the 6H, house Y
(treated as Focus House) from its sign for which it is a
karak. It is situated in root karak house of that house Y.
In fact house X is rootkarak house for fifth house of the
chart, and its root karak is situated in 8th from own sign,
so it is said to be spoiled. But house A is house D for
fifth house, hence it will become eager to give result of
5th house, if it is with more points. But if lord of house X
is with fewer points, it will definitely hamper the result of
5th house, as a rootkarak. This means if any planet is
situated in 8th house with fewer pointsfrom its own sign,
will try to spoil results of 4th, 6th and 11th from it.

IF LORD OF KARAK HOUSE (A) IS IN ROOTKARAK HOUSE (F):

In other words, if lord of house A, (LOA or Karak) is
situated in house F (root karak house) then it will affect
the result of House A as well as House B. If such planet
is situated in house F with fewer points it will also effect
the result of 4th house from house F. To explain it more
clearly, if karak planet (LOA) of any house under
consideration ‘B’, is situated in root karak house (F),
then it will affect the results of house “A”, and House “B”.

If lord of A (KARAK) is situated in house Rootkarak house with fewer points it
will also hemper the result of fourth house from house F.
The fourth house from house F is next generation result
of house B.

IF LORD OF ROOT KARAK HOUSE IS IN FOCUS HOUSE B:

The result of house B can be attained earlier. If root karaksnaha is also house B,
then this can also nullify delay or rectify issues of house B.

UNDER WHICH CONDITION KARAK OR ROOTKARAK (MOOLKARAK) IS SPOILED?

Following are the cases when planet as a Karak or Root
karak gets spoilt. Moon situated in Aquarius spoils result of Sagittarius
treated as House “B”. Mars in Gemini affects the result of Aries sign as House
“B” (Scorpio as a karak sign) Mercury in Capricorn will reduce happiness
of Scorpio sign (for Gemini as karak sign for Scorpio) and Mercury
in Aries will reduce the result of Aquarius sign.

UNDER WHICH CONDITIONS VENUS IS SPOILED:

Venus gets spoilt if it is placed in Sagittarius sign or in
Krittika nakshtra. If distance between sun and Venus is
more than 43.2 degrees or below 3 degrees its natural
qualities get spoilt. Qualities of Venus get reduced in
other nakshtra of Sun also. (This holds particularly true
for marriage)

• If Venus is less than 3 degrees from Sun, the native is
less inclined towards sex or is unlucky in matters
relating to sexual satisfaction and/or marital happiness.
Such natives are more inclined to wards their career.

• If Venus is more than 43 degrees away from Sun,

• In a Male’s chart, indicates strong sex drive which may
result in his having sexual relations with other married
women.

• In female chart this may lead to multiple relations with
males whose Saturn has aspect on her Mars. If such
female native meets any male whose Saturn has aspect
on her Mars, then she gets more attracted towards him
by virtue of such aspect across both charts. Should they
get a chance then it could lead to them, both getting
intimate with each other.

• Should such Venus be placed alongwith Jupiter or the
9th lord, such bad effect gets nullified.

• If such Venus is in the navamsha of Jupiter or the 9th
lord, then also this effect gets nullified.

• Saturn in Leo reduces the result of Gemini (as
Capricorn is karak sign for Gemini).

• Similarly, if a karak planet is placed in the Focus
House B, the result of House B will be good and it will
give better happiness and satisfaction.

HOW TO FIND RESULT OF ANY HOUSE IN A CHART?

In KAS, for finding the result of any house, we start from
its karaka and mool karaka (root karaka) - both natural
and functional - and their varga lords (karakanshsa).
This law is followed uniformly for all houses whose
events we wish to see.

It is obvious that the result of any planet depends on the
sign in which it is situated, status of the sign lord,
Karakansha of the Planet and its position in the natal
chart, then Lord of the Karaka Sthan and Root Karaka
sthan. We will not go in detail about all these for the
present. This portion will be discussed in detail in later
chapters.

WHAT IS GURUBAL AND IT'S IMPORTANCE:

Generally it is said that for marriage Guru Bal (strength
of Jupiter) is required. The transit of Jupiter is
considered for marriage. The basic reason for this is that
Jupiter is the natural Root Karaka for marriage. In fact
the result of any house is based on the karaka and its
root karaka and their karkansha.

DEFINITION OF TATKARAK VARGMOOLAT:

The strength of the Karaka and its Root Karaka is
therefore very important. The result for any planet
depends upon the “tatkarakvargamoolat”. When we
divide this word up, ‘taatkaalik’ (a derivative of ‘tatkarak’)
basically means functional karaka, ‘varga’ refers to the
Navamsha divisional chart and ‘moola’ refers to the root
karaka. Therefore, the quality of the result for any
house depends upon its functional karaka, its root
karaka and its varga lord, which can be understood here
to be the Navamsha lord or karakansha.

WHAT IS KARAKANSHA AND IT'S ROLE:

The effect of Karak and Root Karak must be seen from
the Navamsha (D9) of these planets and ansha in other
divisional charts. The Navamsha lord and ansha lords
of Karak planet are known as Karakansha. Hereafter
we will refer the Karakansha lord of karak house as “L”
and that of Root Karak as “M” with suffix referring to
divisional chart. The effect of Karak or Root Karak is
judged from the placement of the karakansha planet in
the rashi chart/ natal chart.

If the Karakansha lord (L or M) has its aspect on the
Focus House, House ‘B’ or its lord by particularly the 7th
sight, then the result will get affected, and there may be
delay, decrease or denial of the result.
If karakansha lord is situated in the natal chart in the
Focus House, House B or with the lord of House B
(LOB), then the result of that house will get enhanced
and achieved eariler, without much effort. This will also
nullify the delay due to any other reason.

If Karakansha lord is situated in the root karak house,
House ‘F’, it will still tend to retard the result.

If karakansha planet (L or M) is situated in 6th house in
the natal chart or respective Divisional chart, then also
the result gets diminished, delayed or damaged.

If either L ‘or’ M has aspect on House B or lord of B,
there will be a delayed result, but if ‘both’ L and M have
aspect, then it will get more spoilt or may even deny the
result. This is also true if ‘one’ of the karakanshas
aspects House B and the other aspects lord of B. This
also becomes true if both L and M are one and the same planet.

WHICH ARE MULTRIKON SIGNS OF PLANETS?

We know that the karak of any house is the lord of
eighth house from that house. Same way Root karak is
eighth house from karak house. Result of any house
depends upon the strength of karak and root karak.
Except Sun and Moon, all other planets have dual lord
ship. Means they own two signs. In one sign planet gets
more freedom from its karak and root karak and that
sign is denoted as a Multrikon sign. Considering house
B, eighth house from house B is karak house denoted
by ‘A’, and root karak is eighth from karak house A is
denoted by letter “F”. The Triangle BAF is known as root
triangle or mul trikon. When the sign lord gets more
freedom from lords of A and F then that sign is known as
root triangle sign or Multrikon sign. Now we will study
Root Triangle sign of each planet.

HOW TO STUDY MALEFIC AND BENEFIC SIGHTS OF THE PLANETS:

All (inner as well as outer) planets have 7th sight
from themselves. The outer planets, Mars, Jupiter,
and Saturn have special sights as indicated below:
• Mars has aspects on the 4th, 7th and 8th house
from itself.
• Jupiter has aspects on the 5th, 7th and 9th house
from itself.
• Saturn has aspects on the 3rd, 7th, and 10th house
from itself

In the previous chapter we have seen that a benefic
planet is that planet which gets more than 4 points in its
ashtakvarga for the place it is situated. Sight of benefic
planet will always be malefic. Similarly, malefic planets
mean having less than 4 points. Such planets will have
benefic sight on the opposite house and planets like
Mars, Jupiter and Saturn will beneficially aspect
additional houses through their special sights. The
strength of the sight of any planet is of the same
strength as the points it has, but in a negative manner.
Which means any planet having less than 4 benefic
points, will aspect in a benefic manner, equal to 8 minus
the points of the planet. In other words, if any planet
has only 2 benefic points, means it has 6 malefic points,
hence its aspect will be benefic by (8 - 2=) 6 points.

ASPECT OF PLANET EFFECT:

8 0 Malefic by -8 Plus 8 Benefic

8 1 Malefic by -7 Plus 7 Benefic

8 2 Malefic by -6 Plus 6 Benefic

8 3 Malefic by -5 Plus 5 Benefic

8 4 NEUTRAL WITH 4 NEUTRAL NEUTRAL

WITH 4 WITH 4

8 5 Benefic by +5 Minus 5 Malefic

8 6 Benefic by +6 Minus 6 Malefic

8 7 Benefic by +7 Minus 7 Malefic

8 8 Benefic by +8 Minus 8 Malefic

We count only benefic points in Bhinnashtaka table. By
subtracting the benefic points from the maximum
permited 8 points, we can easily see the balance of
malefic points. If the planet has less than 4 points it is
said to be malefic for the house it is placed, it will have
malefic strength for that house equal to 8 minus its
benefic points. Hence its sight will be benefic and equal
to its malefic points. If the Planet is having more than 4
points in the sign it is placed, then it will be benefic for
that house, but its sight will be malefic for the houses it
aspects. Planets having 4 points in the sign it is placed,
means it has malefic and benefic power of equal
strength. Hence such planet will behave in a neutral
manner. Its sight too will be neutral.

As per KAS the result of any house under consideration
is a function of the cumulative effect of the 5th house and
8th house from it along with the house under
consideration (house A+C and B).

NATURAL BENEFIC PLANETS:

Jupiter, Mercury, Venus and Moon are classified as
naturally benefic planets. Saturn and Mars are supposed
to be natural malefic planets. According to Ashtakavarga
theory, the benefic planet is the one that gets more than
4 points in its Ashtakavarga and the malefic planet is the
one that gets less than 4 points, while the planet which
gets exactly 4 points is said to be neutral.

HOW TO CALCULATE THE STRENGTH OF ANY HOUSE?

While assessing the strength of any house, we must
start from its karaka house. We know that 8th house from
the any Focus House ‘B’ is the karaka for that house.
We denote this house as “A” and Focus House as “B”
and 5th house from house ‘B’ is house “C”. We count
the ashtakvarg points acquired by all the planets in
these three houses, A, B and C. The total of these
points is denoted as the “basic strength” of the planets
for assessing the events of House ‘B’.

Secondly, we count the “sight effect” of the planets on
these houses only. The effect of the sight is always
opposite to that of the BAV points of the planet in its
Ashtakavarga for the place it is located.

The first thing to consider is that the effect of the sight is
only on houses A, B and C. No effect of sight on house
‘D’ and ‘E’ is considered.

If any planet has more than 4 points, then the sight will
be malefic. It means the negative effect of equal points.
If a planet has 5 points, then its sight will be minus 5
points. So we have to deduct 5 points from its basic
strength. If it has 6 points, then the effect will be minus 6
points. We have to deduct 6 points. Similarly, for 7
points, minus 7 and for 8 points, minus 8 should be
deducted from basic strength. If any planet has less than
4 points, then its sight will be benefic. The strength of
the sights will be benefic to the strength of 8 minus the
points of the planet. For example, if a planet has 3
points and is looking at any of the houses A, B or C,
then the effect will be benefic 5 points (8 – 3=5). In such
a case, we have to add 5 points to the basic strength of
the planet. If the planet has 2 points, then we will add 6
points. If it has 1 point, then we will add 7 points to its
basic strength. Similarly, if any planet has 0 points then
its sight will be by 8 benefic points. This is only with
Saturn as no other planet can give 0 points for the place
it resides in. (for details see chapter No 12).

Here we must remember that if any planet aspects two
or three houses out of A,B,C, then the effect should be
considered for each house individualy.

If Jupiter is in the third house, then its sight will be on the
7th and the 11th house. If Jupiter has 6 points, then its
sight will be minus 6 points. Now, because it is having
sight on two houses, we must delete 12 points from its
basic strength.

Planets with 4 points will give a neutral effect for
their sight. This means no addition or subtraction.
(“Neutral” can be indicated by ‘- - ‘in the worksheet).

EFFECT OF SIGHT OF LORD OF HOUSE D AND HOUSE E:

We do not consider the negative sight on ABC
houses, of the lords of D and E houses and planets
situated in D and E house with more than 4 points.
Same way no negative effect of sight on other planets is
considered due lords of D and E houses and planets
placed in these houses with more than 4 points.

In the example below (Fig.15), suppose Jupiter is the
lord of the ‘D’ or ‘E’ house, using a Virgo ascendant or a
Capricorn ascendant and is placed in the 3rd house of
the natal chart. In this case, it has aspect on the 7th and
the 11th house (the ‘B’ and ‘C’ houses for marriage). Its
sight on house ‘B’ and ‘C’ will not be treated as malefic,
even if Jupiter is having more than 4 SAV points, hence
no points will be deducted. If such Jupiter is having
benefic sight, its points will be added. No malefic effect due to lords of D
or E

The lords of house D and E are alloted extra five
points to differnciate their eagerness in giving the
result. These five points are alloted irrespective of
SAV points of such lords and their situation in the
natal chart.

Any planet which aspects a signifying house(s)
(ABC), does not show his willingness to come
forward to give the result of house “B” in its sub
period, except lords of D and E houses.

Some powerful Samdharmi planet, of the planet
having its aspect on houses ABC, can come ahead
to give the result in its antardasha. Samdharmi
relationship is explained in later chapters.

EFFECT OF PLANETS IN CONJUNCTIONS:

No planet has first sight. In other words, when two or
more planets are in conjunction, they have no effect on
each other as far as question of their strength is
concerned. For example, as illustrated in Figure 16, let’s
suppose that Mars and Venus are both in conjunction.
Let’s say that Mars has 6 points and Venus has 2 points.
There will be no direct effect of these two planets on
each other.

When two planets are situated in one sign and one
constellation they become Samdharmi to each
other. Such planets become more powerful
Samdharmi if they are situated in same navmansha.

The lords of Houses D and E or their Samdharmis are
always eager to give the result in their sub periods.
Therefore, in the case where a planet is lord of BOTH a
primary and a secondary upachaya houses and that
planet in turn aspects a primary upachaya house, still it
can give the result as it is the lord of a secondary
upachaya house.

MEANING OF HOUSE CHANGES AS PER ASHRAM:

The meaning or significance of the houses, changes
according to the age of the native. Up to 25 years or till
the native completes his education, the 7th house cannot
be referred for marriage. Every house changes its
meaning as per the age of the native. In the olden
days, the life of a person was divided into 4 Ashrams or
stages.

HOW MANY ASHRAMS ARE CONSIDRED TO STUDY RESULT?

There are four ashrams.

The First Ashram is referred to as the Brahamacharya
Ashram. In this period, one is supposed to complete his
education or develop skills for earning to meet his
needs.

The Second Ashram is known as the Grahastha Ashram
where the Native is supposed to take on the
responsibilities of family life, get married, have children
and lead a social life.

The Third Ashram is Vanprastha Ashram which means
after the age of 50 years, one should pass on his
authority and family responsibilities to his children and
engage himself in social work to repay what he got from
the society, his parents and his Guru.

The Last Ashram is Sanyasa Ashram. In this Ashram a
person should get detached from all his worldly
attachments and spend his days in spiritual pursuits like
meditating upon the Almighty, etc.

Even now these 4 stages of the Ashram system are
followed.

Native completes his education by the age of around 25
years.

Then he starts earning and settles down in matrimony.
He takes on the responsibility of his family. Though
there is a slight change in the present scenario. Now
both husband and wife share the responsibility in
running the family.

In India the retirement age is 58 years, or a person gets
the status of a senior citizen after 60 years of age. So
we can say that Vanaprastha starts at this age.
However, there are always exceptions to this rule as
some persons may not retire till the end, which is
different matter.

The Root Karaka for each house assumes great
importance for the detailed study of the quality and
quantum of results.

WHY DIVISIONAL CHARTS ARE CHECKED?

The Divisional charts are used to check the status of
the Root Karaka. The rising degree of Zodiac in the
eastern horizon is taken as a base for all the Divisional
charts. This is nothing but the degree of rising Lagna.
Each sign is divided into smaller divisions and such
charts are known as the Divisional chart or the Varga
charts. In the basic Shketra Kundali, the longitude of
lagna and planets, are taken as the base for Divisional
charts.

Quality and the quantum of the result of any house,
depends upon the strength of the Root Karaka of that
house. Hence the status of the Root Karaka must be
studied thoroughly. The Root Karaka house is always
the 3rd house from (any) Focus House ‘B’ and is denoted
as House ‘F’.

Native’s marriage is seen from 7th house. Root karak of
7th house is 9th house of the chart. By now we are
familiar with Jupiter the 9th lord, being the Root Karaka
for marriage in the natural chart (kalpurush chart).

Therefore, Jupiter is more responsible for the happiness
of the marriage. Due to any reason, if Jupiter is spoilt it
may reduce the marital happiness or delay the
marriage. This is the reason behind why Gurubal is taken
into consideration for fixing the marriage.

WHY DIVISIONAL CHARTS ARE IMPORTANT?

Divisional charts are used to study the result of any
house on micro level. We can not reach to the accuracy
of result if we only depend upon natal chart alone. The
divisional charts for any particular house are fixed, and
based upon the root karak house of the house under
consideration. We know now that the root karak house is
third house from the focus house. The house number of
rootkarak house is the suffix for divisional chart to be
refered. Houses are counted from Lagna. House
number in first round is used in first ashram, same way
house number of same house in second round is used
in second ashram and so on. The division of the rashi is
made as per the house number. For example
navmansha chart is refered to the divisional chart having
nine divisions of rashi, and ninth house is rootkarak
house for 7th house. Hence for finding the result of 7th
house at micro level we should use D 9 chart.

Hence D-9 chart is used for seeing inner energy of
marital happiness. So for marriage we use the
Navamsha chart. If the karak and Root Karaka are
placed in good house in the Navamsha chart, native will
have a happy married life.

WHEN QUALITY OF ROOT KARAKA IS REDUCED:

The quality of karak or Root Karaka gets diminished if it
is situated in 6th house of the Navamsha chart. In turn it
will hamper the quality of the marital life. Similarly, the
lords of navmansha (karakansha) of karak and Root
Karak are situated in the 6th house of navmansha chart
or natal chart, the quality of marital happiness gets
reduced.

WHAT IS PHALANSHA:

The divisional lord of any planet in any divisional chart is
called as Phalansha of that planet. The Phalansha of
Karak and root karak are differenciated by calling them
as karakansha. A suffix can be used to identify the
division chart for Phalansha or karakansha.

When a planet is a Natural Karaka or Functional Karaka
for any house under consideration, the Divisional lord is
called as Natural or Functional Karakansha of that
house. When a planet is natural or functional root
karaka, of any house, under focus, the divisional lord is
called as a natural or functional root karakansha. In
order to evaluate the result of any house its
Karakanshas and Root Karakanshas have to be
relocated / remapped in the natal chart.

WHAT IS NATURAL KARAKA:

Karakas in a natural chart are known as Natural Karakas
(NK), and Root Karakas are known as Natural Root
Karakas (NRK). Their karakanshas shall be referred to
in short form as “L’ for the Natural Karakansha and “M”
for Natural Root Karakansha.

For other charts with different ascendants “Natural”
prefix is changed to “Functional” hence Karaka in other
charts will be known as Functional Karaka and
Functional Root Karaka. As a short form we will denote
Functional Karaka as FK and Functional Root Karaka as
FRK. Their Functional Karakanshas are denoted by FL
and FM respectively.

IMPORTANCE OF NATURAL KARAKA:

Hence for finding the quality, Quantum of marital life of a
chart we should study the placement and status of NK,
NRK, and their karakanshas L and M; FK, FRK, and
their karakanshas FL and FM. In addition we will tag the
appropriate number as a suffix denoting the number of
house under focus. Hence for marriage natural karaka
will be NK7, and Natural Root Karaka as NRK7. For
karakansha we will use number of divisional chart as a
suffix to the notation. Hence L9 will be the karakansha
of the natural karak, and M9 will be the natural root
karakansha for marriage. Similarly FL9 will be used for
functional karakansha for functional karak and FM9 for
functional root karakansha for functional root karak.

IMPORTANCE OF NAVANSHA OR NAVAMSA CHART (D-9):

When the sign is devided in nine equal divisions the chart constructed is
known as navamsa chart.

The Natural Karak (NK7) for marriage is lord of Natural
2nd house. Sign in second house is Taurus and lord is
Venus. The natural Root Karaka (NRK7) is the 9th lord,
Jupiter, (lord of Sagittarius). Phalansha of any planet is
the lord of ansha in the respective Divisional chart. Here
for marriage as ninth lord is root karak hence the
Navamsha (D-9) chart is refered. Hence Phalansha of
Venus in navmansha chart is known as Natural
Karakansha of 7th house and denoted by (L9) and
Phalansha of Jupiter is natural Root Karakansha of 7th
house denoted by (M9). Position of L9 and M9 in
Navamsha chart and also in natal chart must be studied.

Same way we must see the position and status of
Functional Karak FK7, and Functional Root Karak FRK7
and their Karakansha FL9 and FM9. If these karakansha
lords are situated in 6th house of the Navamsha or natal
chart, marital happiness gets disturbed. Result of the
placement of these karakanshas in different houses of
the natal chart will give complete idea, understanding
about a native’s marital happiness.

For Example: if natural karakansha lord L9 and or M9
aspects 7th house in natal chart, marriage may be
delayed or happiness will be decreased. If FL9 and or
FM9 are having 7th aspect on seventh house there will
be extreme delay or may be denial of the marriage. If
the aspect is with other sights of the karakansha lords
then the happiness will be reduced and event may
happen late.

VARIOUS RIDERS OF THE KAS RULES:

• Whenever the Karakansha lord is also lord of house
D or E, the bad effect will be nullified.

• If the Karakansha lord is situated in House B the
event will be achieved early without much effort. In
some cases such result may be achieved before
time.

• In such a case if there is delay due to any planet,
the delay will be moderated. If the delay is on
account of more reasons, only one major cause will
be rectified. If more karakansha lords (L9, M9, FL9,
and FM9) are situated in House B, they will reduce
more negativity. The number of delays rectified will
be equal to the number of Karakansha lords placed
in the Focus House ‘B’.

If any of the karakansha lords (L9, M9, FL9, and FM9) is
placed in the 6th house of Navamsha or natal chart, the
Karaktva of that karaka planet is reduced or nullified and
will give result in negative direction.

The karakansha lords are also karaka for some house/s
of the chart. Their placement in other than above houses
will have the flavor of their karkatva in the result of
house B.

Jupiter is NRK for 7th house, if situated in Libra sign in
natal chart; its natural root karakatva for 7th house will
get spoiled and will delay the marriage.

Similarly if Jupiter is in the Navamsha of Libra still it will
give a similar result. In such case if Venus (M9) is
situated in ascendant it will aspect seventh house by 7th
sight, will lead to more negativity in marriage. If L9 and
M9 are situated in 7th house (Focus House B) it will
rectify the result and can give early marriage. If these
are situated in Karaka house then the result will be
better. If these are situated in root karak house again
negativity will appear. In other houses result will be as
per the karakatva and significances of those houses.
The Navamansha lord of karaka planet (Karakansha)
due to its placements in other houses in natal chart
indicates the relations with reference to the 7th house.

Lagna and 7th house are two important houses in the
chart. Lagna indicates self and 7th house indicates wife/
husband of the native. These are also called as two
wheels of the cart of Life. If both wheels have similar
diameter, then the cart can move ahead smoothly. If
one wheel is having smaller diameter, then cart may
move in a circle only. To move ahead smaller wheel
should make more revolutions. It is difficult to make
progress if two wheels are not of same diameter.

The progress of the person is indicated by the 10th
house of the chart. 7th lord is LOD for 10th house
matters, which is eager to give the result of 10th house.
Hence we can say behind every successful man a
strong seventh house is more responsible.

Same way 3rd house is House ‘E’ for 10th house. Both
houses indicate females. One is mother (3rd house) and
the other wife (7th house). Mother is also known as first
teacher of the native. Both house lords are very eager to
see the progress of the native. If relations of the native
are spoilt with these two personalities, he may have to
face some obstacles in his life.

Blessings of mother are very important for the
overall success in life of any person.

Other houses of the chart are also connected with 7th
house. Hence reflection of each house on marital life of
the person is seen from the Navamsha lords of other
houses and their placement in the natal chart. This
portion is very deep and requires in-depth study of all
houses, and their Karakas and Root Karakas in the
Navamsha chart. This way the study of all planets in
Navamansha chart is needed to find the accurate
reading of 7th house or marital life of the person. If
Navamansha lord of Karaka or Root Karaka of any
house is situated in some wrong house, the native will
face problem in his marital life due to the matters
indicated by that house.

Divisional chart for each house is the Divisional chart
equal to the house number of the Root Karaka. The
result of any house can be seen by studying the
divisional lord of Karaka and Root Karaka of each
house.

WHAT IS ROOT KARAKANSHA?

The divisional lords for all divisional houses are called
as Karak-ansha (karakansha). For our convenience we
will call them as D with an suffix of the divisional chart
number. Which means the Karakansha denoted by D9
will be the Navamansha Lord of Karaka.

"HOW TO CHECK 5TH HOUSE IN DETAIL":

To study 5th house in detail, we check D-7 chart (saptamsa chart).
When a sign is divided in seven equal divisions, it is known
as Saptamansha chart.

For children we see the 5th house of the natal chart, we
know the Root Karaka House for the 5th house is the 7th
house of the chart. Hence D-7 the Saptamansha chart
must be referred for 5th house matters. For 5th house
results such as education (graduation level) or child birth
Natural and functional karak and Root Karaka’s ‘amsha’
should be seen in the D-7 (Saptamansha) chart. Natural
Karaka NK for the 5th house is Jupiter (lord of natural
12th house), and Venus is its natural Root Karaka
(NRK5) lord of seventh house. To get detail result of the
5th house, placement of Jupiter and Venus in
Saptamansha chart (D7) and their Saptamansha lord
(L7 and M7) should be remapped back in the natal
chart. Same thing must be seen for Functional karak
(FK5) and functional Root Karaka (FRK5). Please note
that the Functional Karakas are more effective than
Natural Karakas.

The Saptamsha lord of the NK5,NRK5 and FK5 and
FRK5 (L7, M7 and FL7 and FM7) if situated in the 6th
house of Saptamansha or the natal chart, will reduce the
result of fifth house. This Saptamsha chart is used to
study the matter relating to children and 5th house. The
5th house also indicates Education and other matters.
Along with the Saptmansha chart we must refer the
Navamsha chart also. Navamsha chart must be referred
for all the twelve houses of the chart.

If the karakansha lords have seventh sight on fifth house
or its lord in the natal chart, result of 5th house gets
diminished or deny. With other sights it will be delayed
or decreased. If karakansha lord is situated in 5th house
or along with fifth lord, result will be achieved easily. In
other houses result will have flavour of the karkatva of
karakansha lord.

"HOW MANY TOTAL DIVISIONAL CHARTS ARE THERE"

There are 16 divisional charts.

HOW TO "STUDY THE INDIVIDUALITY" OF A PERSON:

[video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WblSVJbR5A]
Dreshkona D-3, Trimshansha D-30, and Saptvishansha D-27
Divisional charts: These charts give the result related
to first house. Dreshkona Chart: Dreshkona is the three equal
divisions of a sign. First Dreshkona is of the sign it self,
second is of fifth sign from the sign it self, and 3rd
deshkona is 9th sigh from the sign. This means all the
signs will be of same triplicity (Dharma, Arth, Kaam and
Moksha). Trimshamsha chart is a very different divisional chart
though for conviniance it is denoted by D-30 divisional chart.
For finding the status of the individuality and basic
qualities of the native, Dreshkona (D-3) chart along with
Trimshamsha (D-30) and Bhansha (D-27) charts are
referred. D-27 chart appears in the the third cycle of life. How the
individual will come up or shine in life will be seen from
D-27 chart. D-27 is known as Saptavimshamsha. [video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WblSVJbR5A]

WHAT IS "BHANSH CHART" (D-27)

It is also known as Bhansha chart. (BHA means to shine, to exist)
hence Bhansha is the ansha (division) which shows the luminance of the
native. From D-3 and D-27 we can judge the individual
qualities and his power to rise in life.

HOW TO STUDY "NATURE AND IQ OF PERSON" (NATIVE)

For finding the intelligent quotient and basic quality of an
individual such as his brilliancy and his basic likings or
nature and his attitude etc we refer D3, D30 and D 9
charts. Ansha lords of the ascendant of Lagna, Sun and
Moon charts in above mentioned Divisional charts are
reffered to study the above matters.

This way we get total nine anshas (3 anshas of Lagna, 3
anshas of Sun and 3 ansha of Moon, thus total 9).

Indication of different ansha lords:

• Anshas of Saturn: indicate the memory of the
native.

• Mercury anshas indicate the brilliancy and power of
logic.

• Mars anshas show daring and risk taking attitude.

• Jupiter anshas show the diplomacy of the person.

• Venus anshas show the inclination to wards art and
enjoyment in the life.

• Sun shows the fondness of authority.

• Moon shows the mental status of the native.

From the above we get a complete idea about the basic
hidden qualities of the native. More the anshas of above
planet indicates denser will be the quality.

HOW TO "STUDY 2ND HOUSE IN DIVISIONAL CHARTS":

We study wealth. 2nd house is known as the Dhan sthan, hence denotes
wealth of the person. Wealth can be in different forms,
like fixed assets, movable property, intellectual property,
Good will etc. The Root Karaka for 2nd house is the 4th
house of the chart; hence for studing matters related to
2nd house we must refer to D-4, D-16, and D-40
divisional charts. D-4 is related to 4th house in first
cycle, D-16 is again 4th house in second cycle and D-40
is 4th house in the 4th cycle. The ansha of Karaka and
Root Karaka are seen in these Divisional charts and the
lords of such ansha are again remapped in the natal
chart. The ansha lords found from these Divisional
charts show the inner energy of Karakas and Root
Karakas. Their placement in respective Divisional chart
and natal chart gives complete idea about the result.
Fixed assets can be judged from the anshas of the
Karaka planets in D-4 chart (Chaturthamsha chart).
Movable assets are judged from the Anshas of Karaka
planets in D-16 chart (Shodashamsha chart). Other
properties such as patents, goodwill etc are seen from
(D-40) Khavedansha chart. (Kha means Heaven, Ved
means Knowledge). Mental peace/satisfaction is also a
function of 2nd house. These matters should be judged
from D-40 chart.
Sodashansha is 16 parts of a Sign and continued in
second sign. This means 1st division of 1st sign starts
from Aries, and ends on Cancer, for 2nd sign it starts
from Leo and ends at Scorpio, and 3rd sign it starts from
Sagitarius and ends at Pisces. For next sign divisions
are in same sequence.
Chaturdashansha is also known as Khavedamsha.
This is 40 divisions of a sign. The divisions in odd signs
start from Aries and for even signs starts from Libra.

HOW TO CHECK "Heridiatory qualities" (8th house):

For finding the heredity or hereditary qualities, unearned
money (lottery, hereditary property, Bribes etc), we refer
the 8th house. Root Karaka of 8th house is the 10th
house of the natal chart. So Dasamsha chart should be
referred. D-10 chart also indicates mahafalam
(Mahanirvaan, last event of life). Dasamsha Chart: For odd signs
the divisions start from the sign of the ascendent itself, for even
signs the 1st division is of the 9th sign from the ascendant sign.

"HOW TO CHECK 10TH HOUSE IN DIVISIONAL CHARTS":

We study D-12 Dwadashansha Chart, D-24 Chaturvishansha,
D-60 Shastyansha charts. For finding authority and happiness from father we refer
the 10th house. Its Root Karaka is the 12th house. So
Dwadashamsha chart should be used for finding the
happiness or status of father. For self authority in
general we should refer D-24 chart. Same way life time
achievement is seen from D-60 chart, (Shastyansha
chart).

Dwadansha chart (D12) is twelve divisions of
Ascendent sign. The first division is of the sign it self.

Chaturvimshamsha chart (D24): If Lagna falls in an
odd sign then 1st division is Leo and in case of even
signs the 1st division is Cancer.

Shastyamsha chart (D60) is 60 divisions of ascendant
sign. For odd sign it starts from the same sign and
continues in forward direction. For even sign it starts
from the same sign but continues in reverse direction.
This means for Leo ascendant the first division will be of
Leo and next will be Virgo, Libra and so on. For Virgo
ascendant the first division will be of Virgo and then Leo,
Cancer, etc. in reverse order.

HOW TO "CHECK HEALTH AND SOCIAL STATUS IN DIVISIONAL CHARTS":

Vimshamsha Divisional chart (D20) is checked for health and
social status. For finding the health and social status of
the person the 6th house is referred. Its Root Karaka is the 8th house.
This becomes the 20th House in 2nd cycle. Meaning the
8th house is 20th house. For seeing about the status and
worship of the person we have to refer D-20 chart.

This Divisional chart has twenty equal divisions of the
ascendant sign. For Movable signs ascendants the
division starts from Aries, For Fixed sign division starts
from Sagitarius and for dual sign it starts from Leo as 1st
division. In D 20 charts, the divisions are continued in
next sign. This means in Aries sign divisions starts from
Aries and ends with Scorpio, in next sign Taurus, starts
with sagitarius and ends with Cancer, in third sign
Gemini starts from Leo and ends with Pisces. Again in
Cancer sign which is Movable sign it starts from Aries
and continues as above. This divisional chart is known
as the Vimshamsha chart (D 20).

HOW TO CHECK "ATTITUDE AND SETTLEMENT IN DIVISIONAL CHARTS":

This is checked from Akshavedansha divisional chart (D-45)
The attitude and settlement of native is seen from 7th
house of the natal chart. Attitude is the way of thinking
of the native, (Nitimatta). Thinking may be constructive
or destructive type, (cheating or honesty etc).
Root Karaka of 7th house is 9th house which becomes
45th house in the 4th round. Therefore, for studying the
attitude and settlement of native in life, we should refer
D-45 chart. This divisional chart is known as
Akshvedansha (Aksha = without boundary,
Veda=knowledge) Knowledge without any boundary.
Hence overall knowledge of the native in all the fields of
life is judged from this Divisional chart.
This divisional chart has 45 equal divisions of the
ascendant sign. For Movable sign ascendants, the 1st
division of D-45 chart starts from Aries sign, For Fixed
sign from Leo as 1st division and for dual sign it starts
from Sagitarius. Same sequence is followed for the
remaining signs. The starting division of any sign starts
from Dharm triplicity sign of same natured sign. (Dharm
triplicity is Aries (Movable), Leo (Fixed) and sagitarius
(Dual) signs.

"HOW TO STUDY TRISHANSHA D-30 CHART":

We have already discussed the Trishansha chart. It
has very different concept regarding divisions. In this
chart only lords of dual signs are taken in to
consideretion, and divisions are not equal. In this
divisional chart different sequence of division is adopted
as per odd and even signs. No division is allotted to Sun
and Moon because they are lord of only one sign. This
Divisional chart (D30) is used to see details about the
Parakram of the native. To see the integrity and
auspiciousness of the individual, this chart is referred.
The position of 5th lord in D-30 chart gives idea about
the person’s Parakram. 5th house is Root Karaka of 3rd
house. The division in this chart is unequal, Jupiter the
most natural benefic planet gets maximum degrees for
its division (8 degrees), and next benefic planet Mercury
gets 7 degrees. Other planets namely Venus, Saturn
and Mars get equal degrees (5 degrees each).

WHAT IS "HORA CHART" AND IT'S IMPORTANCE

For Sun and Moon separate Divisional chart is made.
Each sign is divided in two parts of 15 degrees each.
These divisions are called as Hora. In odd signs first 15
degrees are for Sun’s Hora and next 15 degrees are
called as moon’s Hora. For Even signs this is in reverse
order. Means first 15 degrees are called as Moon’s Hora
and next 15 degrees are called as Sun’s Hora.

If planets are in Sun’s Hora, they will try to contribute
towards Parakram of the person. Planets in Moon’s
Hora will indicate inclination towards financial gains. (In
kalpurush chart 4th house is ruled by Moon and it is Root
karak for 2nd house (Wealth) and Sun lord of Leo 5th
house is Root karak of 3rd house (Parakram).

This way all Divisional charts are cast for finding the
strength or inner energy of the Karaka and Root Karaka
planets. If the ansha of Karaka and Root Karaka are
situated in their friend’s house and do not aspect the
house in question in the Shketra chart, then result can
be said to be positive.

"IMPORTANCE OF NAVAMSA CHART" (D-9):

Navamsha chart (D-9) has equal status as Rasi (kshetra) chart,
Natal chart (rashi chart). If Navamsha chart has the
same lagna as in rashi chart then it is known as
Vargottam. In such case Navamansha chart becomes
more important. This divisional chart is referred for all
the twelve houses. The Navamsha lord of the planets
gives idea about the inner energy of the planet. The
karakatva of the planets always has the flavor of the
karakatva of its karkansha. Hence the placement of
karakansha planets should be keenly studied in natal
and navmansha charts.

The divisional charts are referred to as per the age of
the native.

First group is known as Shad varg: This includes
following Six divisional charts.

D-1, D-2, D-3, D-9, D-12 and D-30

This group is referred till the person completes his
education and gets married or in his brahmacharya
ashram.

While completing education upto graduation or after
marriage of the native Saptvarga chart is also referred
hence in above list D-7 chart is included. Hence such
Varg is known as Saptvarg.

Next group of Divisional chart is Dashavarg. In
Saptavarga D-16, D-24, and D-4 are added. This
Dashvarg is referred till native enters in Vanprastha
Ashram.

The last group is known as Shodasvarg charts. In
Dashavarga, all remaining divisional charts are added.

Hence the Shodasvarga includes all 16 divisional charts
D-1, D-2, D-3, D-4, D-7, D-9, D-10, D-12, D-16, D-20, D-
24, D-27, D-30, D-40, D-45, and D-60.

"MEANING OF HOUSES IN A CHART":

All the different areas of life are distributed among the
12 houses of the chart and each house influences
certain matters. The representation of the house
changes as per the age of the native. In order to denote
which area of life is being focused on, we look to these
houses for their particular significations as follows:

FIRST HOUSE: (1H/Lagna)

1) Adya, Kalpa, Janma (birth), physical body, physical
features, personality, individuality, temperament, color,
fortune/misfortune, well being, head and upper part of
the body, patrimony, self respect, ego.

 2) living or livelihood, character general constitution,
health, vitality, vigor, tendencies, struggle for life,
success / failures, honor, dignity, (as a karaka for 6th
house), nature of Income etc are seen from 1st house
(Root Karaka for the 11th house). The purchase of a
house, land, property, vehicles, father’s death, etc., is
achieved in the sub period of the lord of this house. This
house is house D for 4th house matters and house E for
8th house matter. This house has lifelong effect, not
based on ashrams.

Mars is the natural karaka of the 1st house. Therefore,
the status of Mars shows the overall development of the
person. If Mars is spoilt in any manner, the person may
have some defficiencies in his individuality. Mercury as
a 3rd lord is Root Karak of 1st house. Personality of a
person mostly depends upon the status of Mars
(Karaka), and Mercury (Root Karaka). If Mars and
Mercury are situated in friendly houses and the strength
of Mars and Mercury gets enhanced due to benefic sight
of other planets, personality and individuality of the
person becomes impressive. Similarly if Mars and
Mercury were to lose strength then that would make an
adverse effect on the personality. Similar effect is
experienced for 8th lord (Functional Karaka) and 3rd lord
(Functional Root Karaka). If Mars and/or mercury are
placed in the 1st house with more points, then
personality of native gets enhanced. Same effect is felt
if 8th lord and/or 3rd lord are situated in Lagna with more
points. If the Karakansha of 8th lord and/or 3rd lord, have
aspect on 1st house or Lagnesh (lagna lord), Image of
the native will get damaged.

RIDER: if the Karakansha of Karak and Root Karak is
lagna lord or both karakansha lords are situated in same
navmansha then above negative effect will be nullified.
One must note that if lagnesh is lord of dual signs rider
will not work, if the Navamansha sign is the other
house/sign of the lagna lord. This is particularly true for
Lagnesh having lordship of two signs.

In the sub period of 6th lord or 10th lord better success
and good name is achieved. Functional Karaka of
lagna is 8th lord and Functional Root Karaka is 3rd lord.
Nature of the person depends upon the status of 8th lord
and planets placed in 8th house.

(Note: In the sub period of the 1st lord or the planets
poised in the Lagna with more than 4 points, the results
will be linked to 4th house and 8th house matters.

SECOND HOUSE

1) Wealth (fixed and moving assets), food, right eye,
face, speech, family, relatives, property, money and
money matters, bonds and securities, patents and
goodwill belonging to native, bank balances,

2) Wife, happiness of marriage, description of the
partner (as a karaka of 7th house)

3) Children, childbirth ability to express thoughts,
imaginations, self academic education (as LOD for 5th
house)

4) Foreign relations, short trips (as Root karak for 12th
house)

5) Authority, responsibility (as LOC for 10th house)

6) Fortune and fate (as LOE for 9th house) are seen from
2nd house.

The natural Karaka of the 2nd house is Jupiter. Hence
the status and strength of Jupiter will be responsible for
the result and happiness gained from the 2nd house.
Natural Root Karaka of 2nd house is Moon. Status of
Wealth depends upon Jupiter and Moon’s position in the
chart. If Jupiter and Natural 2nd lord, Venus are situated
in 2nd house then the native overcomes all his difficulties
opposition and becomes a landlord. Result of 2nd house
is experienced, in the sub period of the 7th lord and the
11th lord or planet placed in these houses with more
than 4 points. In the antra of 2nd lord one faces anxiety,
tension and stress.

(Note: In the sub period of the 2nd lord or planets placed
in the 2nd house with more than 4 points, results will get
linked to the 5th house and/or 9th house matters. In early
age of the native this will give success in education,
after marriage it can give birth of child, after 50 years it
may give result as a house of crown.) The quality and
quantum of the result is based on the placement of
Karakansha in the chart. Aspect of Karakansha on 2nd
house will decrease or delay the result. Same way if
Karkansha lords are placed in 2nd house result will be
achived in a positive manner and at an early age.

THIRD HOUSE

1) Courage, mother, ear/hearing,
firmness, heroism, bad thoughts, mental strength,
mental inclinations, correspondence, means of
communication, short trips, writing books, publications,
contracts, agreements, success in selection in an
interview / election

2) Assistance from others, acquisition of bank loans
(LOD for 6th house)

3) Religion, acquisition of authority, start of a new
venture (as LOE for 10th house), are seen from 3rd
house. The Natural Karaka of the 3rd house is Saturn,
and Natural Root Karaka for 3rd house is Sun. Position
of Saturn and Sun and planets situated in 10th house
and 5th house with more points along with 10th lord and
5th lord are responsible for the result of 3rd house. Result
of 3rd house is achieved particularly in the sub period of
12th lord or 8th lord and/or planets placed in these
houses with more than 4 points.

(Note: In the sub period of the 3rd lord or the planets
placed in the 3rd house with more than 4 points, the
results will be linked to 6th house and/or 10th house
matters like acquisition of authority etc.).

FOURTH HOUSE

1) House, home, residence, land,
happiness from family, vehicles, garden, crops,
agriculture, Vedic and secret text, knowledge, skill of
artist and craftsman etc.

2) Dara (wife), marriage (as LOD for 7th house) The
natural karaka of the 4th house is Saturn, and Root
Karaka is Mercury. Same way functional karaka is 11th
lord and Functional Root Karaka is 6th lord. The quality
and the quantum of the result of the 4th house will
depend upon the status of Natural and Functional
Karakas and Root Karaka. Result of 4th house is
achieved in the sub period of Lagnesh (lagna lord) and
9th lord. Karakansha ascertains the quality and quantum
of the result.

(Note: In the sub period of the lord or the planets placed
in the 4th house with more than 4 points, the results will
be linked to the 7th house and/ or the 11th house
matters).

FIFTH HOUSE

1) Romance, House of the crown,
graduation, intellect, children, belly, Vedic Knowledge,
traditional laws.

2) Long journeys, taxes (opposite to 11th house as well
as LOE of 12th house).

3) Death, previous deeds (LOD for 8th house) etc., are
seen from 5th house. The Natural Karaka of this house is
Jupiter and Root Karaka is Venus. Functional karaka is
12th lord and Functional Root Karak is the 7th lord. So
the result of 5th house depend upon the status of NK,
NRK, FK, FRK, and the planets situated in 7th house and
12th house with more than 4 points. Result of 5th house
matters is achieved in the sub period of 2nd lord and 10th
lord or the planets situated in 2nd house or 10th house
with more than 4 points.

(Note: In the sub period of the lord or 5th house or the
planets situated in the 5th house with more than 4 points,
the results will be linked to 8th house and/or 12th house
matters.

SIXTH HOUSE

1) Loans, arms, wounds, disease, enemy,
assistants, jealousy, fear, danger, status in society,
sickness, court matters, disputes, jobs and service,
employees, subordinates, servants, faithfulness of the
subordinates, pet animals,

2) Luck factor, short journeys, are seen from 6th house.
It is an important house being the karaka for 11th house
to find out about earnings, competition, etc. The natural
karaka of the 6th house is Mars and Natural Root Karak
is also Mars. FK is lagnesh (lagna lord) and FRK is 8th
lord. It is clear that if Mars is well placed in a chart, the
person has a good reputation. To judge the quality and
quantum of the result of 6th house, the status of Mars
and FK, FRK must be studied. Result of this house is
achieved in the antra of the 3rd lord and 11th lord and
planets situated in 3rd and 11th house with more than 4
points.

(Note: In the sub period of the 6th lord or the planets
placed in the 6th house with more than 4 points, the
results will be linked to the 9th house and/or 1st house
matters

SEVENTH HOUSE

1) Marriage, Attitude, Desire, life
partner (husband or wife), Business Partner,
Passion, house of union, daily routine work (dincharya).

2) Acquisition of authority, increments, higher post, etc
(LOD for 10th house)

3) Acquisition of wealth and assets as 7th lord is LOE for
2nd house. The Natural Karaka of the 7th house is Venus
and Natural Root Karaka is Jupiter. Same way FK is 2nd
lord and FRK is 9th lord. The quality and quantum of 7th
house result, depends upon the status of Venus, Jupiter
and the FK and FRK. Result of 7th house (Marriage) is
performed in the sub period of 4th lord or 12th lord or the
planets poised in 4th house or 12th house with more than
4 points. About 60% of the happy marriages are
performed in the sub period of the above mentioned
planets.

(Note: In the sub period (antardasha) of the 7th lord or
the planets placed in the 7th house with more than 4
points, the results will be linked to the 10th house and/or
2nd house matters).

EIGHTH HOUSE

Death (Moksha / end of life), Longevity,
semen counts / ovary, herediatary property, scandal,
bribes, mystery, etc. The natural karaka of the 8th house
is Mercury and Natural Root karaka is Saturn. Result of
8th house matters are experienced in sub period of lagna
lord or 5th lord or planets poised in lagna and/or 5th
house with more than 4 points. Death is considered as
an auspicious event and can occur only in the sub of a
strong planet. Death due to any reason happens only in
the strong planet for 8th house. Even charts of natives
and found to have a strong link to the sub period of the
planet having more points for 8th house. As a general
rule we must see the status of NK, NRK, FK and FRK.

(Note: In the sub period of the 8th lord or the planets
poised in the 8th house with more than 4 points, the
results will be linked to the 11th and/or 3rd house
matters.)

NINTH HOUSE

Father, Guru, Teacher, Worship, Luck,
Dharma, Faith, Grandchildren, Fortune, Post
Graduation, Religious and Philosophical Beliefs,
Religious Journeys etc. The natural karaka of the 9th
house is the Moon and Natural Root Karaka for 9th
house is Saturn. Result of 9th house is experienced
more precisely in the sub period of 6th or 2nd lord or the
planets placed in these houses with more than 4 points.

(Note: In the sub period of the 9th lord or the planets
poised in the 9th house with more than 4 points, the
results will be linked to the 12th and/or 4th house
matters.)

TENTH HOUSE

1) Work for earning Livelihood, Authority,
Responsibility, Honor, Commerce, Trade, Business,
Success, Position, Command, Quality, Respect,
Ambition, Status etc.

2) Male child (LOE for 5th). 10th house is also known as
the apex of the horoscope. The Natural Karaka of the
10th house is Sun and Natural Root karaka is Jupiter.
The authority, status of service is based on the strength
of Sun and Jupiter. Result pertaining to 10th house is
experienced more precisely in the sub period of the 7th
lord or 3rd lord or planets placed in these houses with
more than 4 points and planets having more than 12
points in W.S. This house is also referred for the
happiness from parents (father) in early age of the jatak.

(Note: In the sub period of the 10th lord or the planets
placed in the 10th house with more than 4 points, the
results will be linked to the lagna and/or 5th house
matters).

ELEVENTH HOUSE

1) Profit, gain, income, desire, acquisition
of wealth, fulfillment of desire, institute, wishes, etc.

2) Acquisition of wealth (LOD for 2nd house, the natural
karaka of the 11th house is Mercury and Natural Root
Karaka is Mars. Income of the person will be in
proportion to the strength of Mars and Mercury and FK
and FRK.

(Note: In the sub period of the 11th lord or planets
placed in the 11th house with more than 4 points, the
results will be linked to 2nd house and/or 6th house
matters.)

TWELEFTH HOUSE

1) Bed comforts, sleep, happiness of all
types, Moksha, long journeys, foreign relations,
expenditures, divine worship, losses, misery etc. The
natural karaka of the 12th house is Venus and Natural
Root Karaka is also Venus. So if Venus is spoilt, then
the results of 7th house and the 12th house get spoilt.
Result of 12th house is experienced more precisely in
the antra of 9th lord and 5th lord. Similarly, the antra (sub
period) of planets situated in 5th house and 9th house
with more than 4 points are eager to give result of 12th
house.

(Note: In the sub period of the 12th lord or the planets
placed in the 12th house with more than 4 points, the
results will be linked to 3rd and/ or 7th house matters).

While judging/analyzing the result of any house, the
situation of Karakansha of NK, NRK, FK, and FRK must
be studied properly. The placement of Karakansha in 6th
house in Divisional, Navamansha or Natal chart
diminishes the result. Similarly, if the Karakansha
aspects the Focus House ‘B’, the result of that house will
get delayed, decreased, or even denied. If the
Karakansha planet is the lord of the house under
consideration, then the effect will be positive. In this
case the Karakansha planet must be the lord of same
sign which is in House ‘B. Except Sun and Moon all
other planets are having ownership of two signs. So this
point must be seen for the same sign. For Example,
Sagittarius ruled by Jupiter is House ‘B’ and the Karak or
Root Karak planets are placed in Sagittarius sign in
Navamansha chart, then and only then will Jupiter as a
lord of Sagittarius be considered as same planet as lord
of the House B. If Karaka or Root Karaka are in the
Navamansha of Pisces still Jupiter is karakansha and if
such Jupiter is having aspect on the house B, then it will
spoil the result.

MEANING OF THE UPACHAY HOUSES:

The upachay houses from any house are having some
special meaning. These houses increase the result of a
house. From any house say “B”, 6th and 10th house are
upachay houses and lords of these houses are more
eager to give the result of house B. The eighth house
from house B is called as karak house, and its lord is
denoted as karak planet for house B. We will denote the
karak house as house A. This means house B is sixth
house from house A. and tenth house from house A is
called as house C. This group of houses is known as
main upachay houses. As told earlier the tenth house
and sixth house from house B is 3rd and 11th house from
house A. These houses are denoted by Letters D and E.
D and E are secondary upachay houses for house B.
Their lords and planets situated with more than 4 points
in house D and E are more eager to give the result of
house B in their Anterdashas. Hence Upachay houses
are those houses which help in increasing the result of
house B. The meaning of Upachay houses is also given
in classical text of astrology is given below.

PIDA SNGAYAK HOUSES:

If 7th lord is placed in the 8th house of natal chart, it
means it is in the 2nd house from the 7th house. It is in
the Anupachaya shtaan. So it will definitely reduce the
overall happiness of 12th house.

Let’s take another example of the 7th lord placed in the
10th house of the chart. The 10th house, which indicates
authority, is 4th from the 7th house, which is an
Anupachaya sthaan from the 7th house. 10th house
indicates responsibilities; hence in this case the overall
happiness of 12th house will definitely get reduced due
to native being occupied and can not spare time to
wards his home.

If the 7th lord is located in the 11th house, which is 5
houses away from the 7th house and is in Anupachaya
shtaan, it indicates a person’s earning capabilities. The
concept being that the more a person earns, the more
time and effort, is required for making more money.
Automatically overall happiness for other pursuits gets
reduced. Although earning is a must for acquiring
material happiness, sacrifices usually need to be made
at the expense of that happiness.

If 7th lord is placed in the 1st house (Lagna), which is 7
houses away from the 7th house (Anupachaya from 7th),
this also indicates ego and individuality. Lord of this
house has enmity with the 7th house due to, it being an
opposite sign and hence opposition. Such person has to
make compromises with his spouse or his egoism may
lead to problems in their relationship.

Similarly 8th house from the 7th is the 2nd house. This is
Karaka shtaan for the 7th house or Root Karaka for the
12th house. If 7th lord is placed in its karaka shtaan, it
will reduce the happiness for the 7th house. The planet
interferes with the karkatva, hence weakens the result.

The 9th house from the 7th house is the 3rd house of the
natal chart, indicating, Parakram or initiative of the
native, hence 7th lord in 3rd house afflicts the Parakram
of the jatak.

And last of all, the 12th house from the 7th house is the
6th house, which is also an indicator of big obstructions
in a person’s marital life and is 7th from 12th house.
Hence 7th lord placed in 6th house of the chart will
definitely weaken the marital happiness.

Clearly, we can see that the trouble creating houses are
the Anupachaya houses that cause the obstacles and
weaken the overall happiness from the karaka house of
Focus House ‘B’.

In this way, we can make similar observations from any
other Focus House by using its karaka house as a
starting point (karaka house A) and counting the
Anupachays placements from it.

CONCEPT OF A B C D E F HOUSES:

A more visual way to understand the importance and
concept of Upachaya Houses and what makes the KAS
system easy to understand is unique through denoting
the houses as ABCDEF Houses. In fact, learning about
the inner workings of the Upachaya Houses lies at the
core of this system. Each one of these letters
(A,B,C,D,E,F) represents a different Upachaya House
and forms a specific and fixed pattern in relation to itself
as you apply it to different Focus Houses in a Natal
chart.

WHICH IS KARKATTWA HOUSE?

Any house and its lord, controls over the result of the 6th
house from itself. The lord of any house acts as a karak
for sixth house from it self. While reading the description
of the houses below you should think about the sixth
house from the house you are reading. In other words,
think about 6th house results when you read the 1st
house descroption and think about 7th house results,
when you read about the 2nd house etc.

•Second house: From the 2nd house and its upachaya
houses, the marriage, the happiness or conflicts in the
married life, number of marriages, single status,
friendships with the opposite sex and the timing of all
these events can be judged. The Venus being the
second lord is the natural karaka for marriage (the 7th).
The compatibility can also be judged for male and
female charts. If the karak planets of both charts are
having friendly relation with each other, Marrital
compactabilty can be said to be good. The status of
second lord is more responsible for 7th house matters.

• Third house: From the third house and its upachaya
houses, the 8th house matters such as research work
and development can be judged, along with the timing of
the event. The lord of the 3rd house and Mercury, are
responsible for all 8th house matters.

• Fourth house: From the 4th house and its upachaya
houses, the luck factor, whether favorable or
unfavorable, can be judged so that the time period is
clear. The natural 4th house lord, Moon, and chaturtesh
(4th lord) are responsible for fate and luck factor of the
native.

• Fifth house: From the 5th house and its upachaya
houses, the achievement of success, authority, a higher
post, success in elections and/or starting one’s own
business can all be judged. The 5th lord in natural chart
is Sun and therefore, the natural karaka and 5th lord of
the chart should be studied for 10th house matters.

• Sixth house: Lord of Sixth house is karak for 11th
house matters. Hence for reading about the earning
capacity or income we must study the Mercury and sth
lord situation in the chart. From the 6th house and its
upachaya houses, the means of earning money or a
favorable period for earning can be judged.

• Seventh house: From the 7th house and its upachaya
houses, overall happiness, foreign relations and bed
comforts can be judged. The natural 7th lord is Venus
and is known as the natural karaka for all 12th house
matters. The seventh lord of the chart is funcdtional
karak for 12th house. Hence for finding the overall
happiness of native, Venus and seventh lord should be
analised.

• Eighth house: From the 8th house and its upachaya
houses, details about the individuality and the
personality can be confirmed. The 8th lord in natural
chart is Mars hence it is also the natural karaka for the
individuality of a person. The eighth lord of the chart and
its status in the chart is more responsible for the
personality and individuality of the native. The karak
planets also show the siblings of the native. Number of
planets acting as a karak and their status shows the
number of siblings. The effect of need of morden time
may affect on this concept.

• Ninth house: From the 9th house and its upachaya
houses, the happiness from relationships and wealth of
the native can be judged. Jupiter the natural 9rd lord and
9th lord of the chart have control over Kutumba (family)
and wealth.

• Tenth house: Tenth house is karak for 3rd house
matters. Hence from the 10th house and its upachaya
houses, longevity, courage, interviews, writing of books,
contracts, agreements, publications etc. can be judged.
The natural karaka of the 3rd house is Saturn. In general,
Saturn is known as the natural karaka of longevity. 10th
lord is functional karak for 3rd house matters.

• Eleventh house: From the 11th house and its
upachaya houses, anything regarding landed property,
home comforts and one’s own house can be judged.
The 11th lord in natural and other charts are responsible
for 4th house results. Saturn is the natural karaka for all
4th house matters which also indicates agricultural lands
and mines etc.

• Twelfth house: From the 12th house and its upachaya
houses, matters revolving around 5th house such as
education, children, honour and crown can be properly
assessed. The 12th lord in natural chart is Jupiter, which
is well known as the natural karaka for ‘Santati’
(childbirth). The 12th lord of the chart is functional karak
and is more responsible for 5th house matters.

By using this method in proper way, the results of whole
life can be assessed with a detailed amount of accuracy.

ASPECT OF PLANET HAVING MORE THAN 20 POINTS:

However there are some cases where the significator planet is strong with a
substantial amount of points and also having sight on
house A or B or C, capable of giving the result if it is
situated in its own Navamsha.

The lords of Houses D and E or their Samdharmis are
always eager to give the result in their sub periods.
Therefore, in the case where a planet is lord of BOTH a
primary and a secondary upachaya house and that
planet in turn aspects a primary upachaya house, still it
can give the result as it is the lord of a secondary
upachaya house.

SAMDHARMI PLANETS AND THEIR RELATIONSHIPS:

The word “Samdharmi” means “same law, same custom
or same peculiarity”. When two planets are said to be
Samdharmi, they follow the same law or custom.
Samdharmi planets are those planets that behave
similarly and are capable of bringing forth the results for
each other.

There are two types of Samdharmis –

1) Natural Samdharmi

2) Functional Samdharmi

WHICH PLANETS ARE NATURAL SAMDHARMI?

Venus and Saturn, Mars and Sun, Mars and Moon are
known as Natural Samdharmi. If
any of these planets is a powerful significator for an
event and the other one in the pair of planets gets a
chance, it will step in, to give the result. Results are
generally given in the sub period of the planet only.
However, there are some exceptions to this rule.
• Should the pair of two natural Samdharmi planets be
placed in opposite signs, which would mean a 1:7
relationship, they will not act as Samdharmi.
For example, we know that Venus and Saturn are
Natural Samdharmis to each other. Let’s assume they
are situated in opposite signs from one another in a
natal chart. In such a case, Venus and Saturn will not
act as natural Samdharmi.
• Similarly, when Venus is in the nakshtra of the
Krittika constellation, or 43 degrees away from the
Sun or nearer to the Sun within 3 degrees
(combust), becomes malefic as a natural karakatva
and will not accept help from Saturn for as a
samdharmi.

Venus in the above conditions gives a malefic result for
its karkatva. When Venus is in the Sun’s constellation,
its benefic power for marriage and marital happiness
weakens. In Krittika, it loses all of its natural properties
and natural karakatva. In such a case, Saturn will not act
as a natural Samdharmi to Venus for 7th house and 12th
house significations. The beauty of these natural pairs
lies in the fact that these Samdharmi planets will
never come forward in supporting malefic results.
They will come forward to act as Samdharmi only for
benefic results. This means if any one in the pair of
natural Samdharmi planet becomes malefic for any
reason for any particular event, their samdharmiship will
get nullified for that event only. They will not act as
Samdharmi. If any rider converts the nature of the planet
such planets can act as Samdharmi.

WHEN PLANETS BECOME "FUNCTIONAL SAMDHARMI"?

[video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXJv8bahatk]
Two planets are considered to be Functional Samdharmi when
Tenth house theory (4:10 relation): When one planet
has fewer points (less than 4) and it is placed in the
tenth house from any other planet having more points,
they act as functional Samdharmis to each other. For
example, in Fig.22, Planet ‘Y’ placed in Capricon has
less than 4 points and Planet ‘X’ in Aries placed in the
4th house from it has more than 4 points. In such a
situation Planet ‘Y’ is treated as being an assistant to
planet ‘X’. Planet ‘Y’ increases strength of planet ‘X’
equal to basic points of planet ‘Y’ aquired in Houses A,
B and C. Hence planet ‘X’ becomes powerful for giving
result of all the twelve Focus House(s) “B”. In such a
situation planets ‘Y’ and ‘X’ also become Samdharmi to
each other. In this case Planet ‘X’ becomes powerful for
all the twelve houses of the chart.

So if the sub period of planet ‘X’ comes later and Planet
‘Y’ happens to come earlier, it can still represent ‘X’.
Suppose ‘Y’ is also powerful significator and the sub
period of ‘X’ comes first before ‘Y’, Planet ‘Y’ still rules
over Planet ‘X’ because ‘Y’ is only representing ‘X’ as a
substitute or “stand-in”. This is known in KAS as “The
Tenth House Theory”.

OTHER KIND OF "FUNCTIONAL SAMDHARMI PLANETS":

When two planets are in the same sign, and same
constillation they are called as Samdharmi. In addition if
they are in same navamsha they are known as Samroop
which is the next higher grade to Samdharmi of 4:10
relation. Planets in same rashi and same nakshtra are
of lower grade Samdharmi to the above.
[video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXJv8bahatk]

When two planets are in the same Navamsha, they
become Samdharmi to each other. This however is the
lowest level of Samdharmi.

A Planet becomes Samdharmi to its Navamsha lord
where it is deposited in navamsha, but not vice versa,
means Navamsha lord will not act as a Samdharmi to
such planet.

This means that if two planets are Samdharmi to each
other, then they will act according to the above
sequence from the highest level to the lowest level of
strength. If Mars is situated in the 10th house from
Jupiter with less points and Jupiter is situated in fourth
house from Mars with more points. They will become
Samdharmi of first grade.

Now suppose Venus is situated in the Navamsha of
Mars, hence it will also become Samdharmi to Mars, but
its level will be of lower grade. Please note that Venus
and Jupiter will not become Samdharmi to each other
due to this reason.

SELEECTING SAMDHARMI PLANET AND MULTIPLICATION FACTOR:

Samdharmi planets generally act for benefic results
only. For malefic results, Samdharmi planets will not
come forward. In KAS Death is considered as an
auspicious event. It can be experienced only in the antra
of powerful planet for 8th house. However, it can be
experienced in the antra of Samdharmi planet.

Now if Venus is samdharmi to Jupiter by virtue of being in
Navamsa of Jupiter then there is a difference when Venus was in
Sagittarius versus pisces. Now say if Venus were to aspect 11th house
for Leo Ascendent and here LoD for 11th house is Jupiter then Venus
will be a more powerful samdharmi to Guru when it is in Pisces as
multiplication factor is of 1.4 as compared to Sagittarius when Guru
has multiplication factor of 1.0.

RAHU AND KETU AND THEIR SAMDHARMI:

Rahu and Ketu represent the lord of the sign and the
lord of the constellation in which they are placed. For
example if Rahu is placed at 15 degrees in Cancer,
owned by Moon, and in the Nakshtra of Pushya, ruled
by Saturn, in the sector that covers 3 deg. 20 min. – 16
deg. 40 minutes. So Rahu will represent both Moon and
Saturn. It can give benefic results in its sub period but
only when Moon or Saturn has more than 12 points in
WS. Rahu and Ketu will be Samdharmi to the
Navamsha lord or planet placed along with them in the
same Navamsha. Rahu or Ketu in their antra will give
the result of the 4th house and the 8th house from their
placement in the chart.

SAMDHARMI PLANETS IN RASI AND NAVAMSA CHART (D-9)

Generally, Samdharmi planets should have at least 12
points in the Worksheet. Then and thenonly, it will act
as a Samdharmi.

Samdharmi planets come forward only when a powerful
significator is unable to give the result for an event vdiue
to any reason.

OR -if the sub of a powerful planet is farther away and
the Samdharmi planet corresponds to the proper age for
that event,

OR -If the event is indicated as delayed, even if the
powerful planet’s sub period comes in the delayed
period, the result will not be experienced and in such a
case, the Samdharmi will come forward to act in its
place after the delay period gets over.

SIXTH LORD CAN NOT ACT AS SAMDHARMI TO ANY PLANET:

If any planet is the 6th lord, it will not act as Samdharmi
to any planet for giving good result. (This rule is not
applicable for the result of the 1st house or the 9th house
as 6th house acts as House E and D respectively)

If any planet gets points that were given by the 6th lord,
on account of aspect, which may be due to a 4:10 house
relationship, it will not act as a Samdharmi. In our
program for Worksheet this point is already considered,
but while calculating manually this must be noted.

SAMDHARMI TO 12TH LORD FROM FOCUS HOUSE B:

Similar treatment should be given for the 12th lord from
House ‘B’. It means that if any planet gets points due to
the 12th lord from House ‘B’, it will not act as a
Samdharmi.

Suppose we are considering the result for the 10th house
(taking it as Focus House B). Then, if any planet
becomes powerful due to the 9th lord being in a 4:10
relationship, such planets will not act as a samdharmi.

If a Samdharmi planet is placed in the 12th house from
B, it will not give good results.

If a Samdharmi planet is placed in either of the A, B or C
houses, then it will give better results.

We consider the sight of a powerful significator for not
giving the results, but for Samdharmi planets, it can give
results even if it aspects the ABC houses. If any planet
has aspect on A or B or C houses but is placed in self
Navamsha, then it becomes eligible to give the result.
(When any planet is in its own Navamsha it may be
treated as Samdharmi to self)

Any planet may come forward without any reason if it is
also the powerful Samdharmi to the lord of either the D
or E houses.

4:10 RELATIONSHIP IS STRONGEST SAMDHARMI RELATION:

When two planets are in a 4:10 relationship, the results
we are considering are purely based on the points of the
planet in the 10th house. If the planet in the 10th house
has more than 4 points, then it cannot become a
Samdharmi. In case of Moon and Mars, they are natural
Samdharmi due to their natural 4:10 relationship. It is not
due to their points. Similarly this is true for Sun and
Mars. The reasoning behind this may be due to the
debilitated sign of Mars (Cancer) and the Moon and also
the other relationship of 5:9, where the constellations
are ruled by the same planets.

EFFECT OF NATURAL SAMDHARMI PLANETS IN 1:7 RATIO:

When natural Samdharmi planets are in 1:7
relationships, they will not act as Samdharmi to each
other. For example Venus and Saturn are natural
Samdharmis. This means if Saturn is strong Significator
for any house, and antra of Venus comes first, Venus
will give the result, but if Venus in the chart is placed in
the 7th house from Saturn, then it will not act as
Samdharmi and will not give the result as a Samdharmi.
This phenomenon is applicable to all natural and
functional Samdharmis. Natural Samdharmi planets, irrespective of their points
in the Worksheet, act for each other.

FUNCTIONAL SAMDHARMI ARE MRE MORE STRONGER THAN NATURAL SAMDHARMI:

Functional Samdharmis have more inclination than
Natural Samdharmi to stand for each other.

For example :Saturn and Venus are natural Samdharmi, but if Mars
becomes functional Samdharmi to Saturn due to 4:10
relationship, then Mars will be treated as strong
Samdharmi of Saturn than Venus. This means If Saturn
is not eligible to give the result due to its aspect on
House ‘B’, and Mars is a strong significator, in such case
Saturn can represent Mars and can give the result,
irrespective of initial disqualification. This is because the
4:10 relationship is strongest of all Samdharmi
relationships. There is no difference in the strengths of
natural or functional Samdharmi planets.

HOW SUN AND MOON ACT AS 6TH LORD?

The Sun and the Moon should not even be considered
as 6th lords. They may give bad results, but not due to
being the 6th lord. They do not display any quality of the 6th lord.
But while considering the result of 7th house they are
12th lord from 7th house. As 12th lords however, they will
behave as other planets do. For example: If the Sun is
the 6th lord and is located in the 7th house, here it will act
as the 12th lord from this 7th house, so the native will
experience some deficit in his marital relationship. In
the same way, even if the Sun or the Moon were 9th
lords and are placed in the 10th house, they will still
reduce the success of the person.

EFFECT IF MORE PLANETS ARE PLACED IN ONE SIGN AND SAME CONSTELLATION:

If more than one planet is placed in one sign and same
constellation, they all become Samdharmi planets. In
such a situation suppose any planet with more than 4
points is situated in 4th house from them, then that
planet which is located in the 4th house will become
Samdharmi to the planet having the least points. If the
planets in 10th house have equal points, then in such
case the planet in 4th house will give strength to both
planets and will be treated as Samdharmi to both of
them. If planets situated in 10th house are in one sign
but are in different constellations, they will not become
Samdharmi to each other. In such case planet in 4th
house will give its points to the planet having least
points. In case both planets have equal points, then
planet in 4th house from them will give power to both
planets.

WHAT IS KRUSHNA’S AYANAMSHA?

There are two systems of calculating the longitude
of the planets, the Tropical Zodiac (Sayana) and the
Sidereal Zodiac (Nirayana). The longitudinal
differences between these two systems are known
as the Ayanansha. The ayanansha factor is also a
very important matter in calculating the dashas and
the correct value of the ayanansha can give the
correct result for the Vimshottari dasha.

There is really no reliable and perfect value for the
ayanansha. The Nirayana Longitude of the planets
are based only on the ayanansha, while the
Vimshottari dasha is based on the Nirayana
longitude of the Moon. The Mahadasha (main
period) of Rahu, Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury or Venus
are longer, so a difference of even one degree in
the ayanansha can make a difference in the
Mahadasha period by one and a half years or so,
which changes everything. Time is the essence
and more so for a predictive science like KAS
astrology.

The ayanansha is a very important factor in
timing the event. I prefer to use the ayanansha
given by my Guruji. It is now known as KAY,
which is short form for Krushna’s Ayanansha.

WE USE SIDEREAL SYSTEM:

We use the Sidereal system, so the correct value of the ayanansha
is very important. The longitudes of the planets are dependent
upon the ayanansha as it will affect not only the longitude of the
ascendant, but the 16 divisional harmonic charts as well. The
Vimshottari Dasha is calculated from the Moon’s longitudes and
one second of difference may result in 1 to 3.6 hours of difference
in the dasha period, so a difference of one minute will be equal to
2.5 days to 9 days.
Many scientists and astrologers are of different opinions about this
“overlapping” of both zodiacs. Both the zodiacs actually
overlapped in the year 285 A.D., but since then, the accumulated
‘out of alignment’ difference between these two zodiacs has
widened throughout the years to 23-24 degrees apart and is known
as the “precession of the equinox”. Due to this precession, it
moves at a rate of about one degree every 72 years. Thus, the
starting point from when the two zodiacs last coincided, has been
given anywhere from 388 B.C to 498 A.D. The values can range
anywhere from 46.3 seconds to 59.9 seconds per year.

STARTING DATE OF KRUSHNA'S AYNAMASA:

starting date when both zodiacs coincided last, as 24th Feb 366 A.D. and moving
at a speed of 50.33 seconds per year. So I use 00:00:00 to start the
ayanansha on this day and then add 50.33 seconds for every year
afterwards. On 1st Jan 367 A.D. the ayanansha difference will only
be about 43 seconds. On 1st Jan 1900, it will be 21: 26: 44.
This table gives the longitudes starting on January 1st of every
year. In order to calculate the proportional difference for any
individual date in between, the following formula can be used. The
Vimshottari dasha calculated according to this ayanansha almost
accurately matches with the timing of events using the KAS
system. With any other ayanansha the dasha periods do not
match.

USING THE FORMULA CHART:

In the following example in Fig.24, you will be able to calculate
manually how to come to the proper ayansha value for whatever
day you were born by following the template given in the formula
chart, using March 12, 1949, below, as an example.
By checking the table “HOW TO FIND THE NUMBER DAY OF THE
YEAR”, you can see that March 12th is day 71 from 1st January of
1949.

Over a period of one year or 365.25 days, the total precession is
00:00:51 or 51 seconds. Therefore 365.25 are the equivalent of 51
seconds and 71 is equivalent to how many seconds have gone by
so far. The math now becomes:
71 / 365.25 * 51 seconds = 9.913758 seconds.

Round this off to 10 seconds and add those 10 seconds to the
ayanansha value for the year 1949 that can be found in Krushna’s
Ayanansha Table in Fig.2. (is it not Fig.24 instead of Fig.2
indicated?). (See the Formula Chart below).

HOW TO CALCULATE AYANAMSA?

Ayanansha for the date of = March 12, 1949
(choose date)

= Ayanansha for the year = 22:14:59
given in table

+ Amount of days from + 71
January 1st

÷ 365.25 ÷ 365.25

X 50.96 x 50.96 (1900-2000)
(51 sec from 2001 –
2100)

= Total = 9.90 (round off to 10
secs) +22:14:59 =
22:15:09

The total value in BOLD lettering will be in seconds, so
addition should also be in seconds. The final
ayanansha for the date of March 12, 1949 is 22:15:09

HOW PRECESSION FOR AYANAMSA IS DONE:

The precession for the year 1900 to 2000 may be taken

as 50.96

For years 2000 to 2100, it is 51.00

For years 2100 to 2200, it is 51.05

For years 2200 to 2300, it is 51.08

For years 2300 to 2400, it is 51.14

Actually, the increase is approximately 0.044
seconds over a span of 100 years, so per year, it is
increasing by a value of 0.00044 seconds per year.

In Tab 12 I will give my Ayanansha (KAY) Table. It

starts off with the year 366AD (Feb 24th), then reverts to

Jan 1st for all the other longitudes. Starting from the year

1919, it will give every consecutive year thereafter until

the year of 2100. From the years 2200-2500, it lists the

ayanansha in 100 year intervals.

NOTE: Although the ayanamsha table is given above to figure out the ayanamsha
manually. There is Excel Worksheet to do the calculations for us.
It is a free program and can be found in the worksheet section on our website at
http://www.kasacademy.com

WHAT IS VIMSHOTTARI DASHA:

So far we have dealt with the 12 houses, significances
of houses, the 4 stages or ashramas in the life of an
individual, the stage by stage events that take place at
certain ages, the significators and their capability or
incapability for giving events and the ayanamsha factor
in the earlier chapters. When we talk about occurance
of events, the timing becomes a part and parcel of it.
Timing is unique to KAS Astrology alone as no other
system can boast of timing events. It is either purely
character analysis or dwelling upon the planetary
‘energies’ with no timing of events coming into play at
all. This is why Vedic Astrology is far more superior
when compared to the other systems practiced
anywhere in the world.

HOW MANY DASHA SYSTEM ARE THERE?

Students are familiar with the Dasha system. There are
many types of dasha systems. There are 32 dasha
systems mentioned in the Brihat Parashara Hora
Shastra alone. These again are bifurcated on the basis
of two divisions namely, dashas based on
nakshatras/constellations and dashas based on
rashis/signs. We will not go any deeper than this as we
presume our readers to have basic knowledge of
dashas.

In KAS we use only Vimshottari Dasha. This is due to
the fact of its being the most reliable besides having a
sound logical base.

The calculation of this dasha system is based on the
longitude of the natal Moon in a chart. In fact Moon is
the karaka for 9th house which indicates the luck factor
of a person. The total dasha period is of 120 years
duration. This is nothing but 120 rounds of earth around
the Sun. The word ‘Vimshottari’ itself denotes ‘twenty-
plus-hundred’. The ancient sages found out the life
span of human beings to be 120 years. The present day
scientists support this theory. They have tested a
particular part of the body, and ascertained that it can
work for 120 years. Now they are also in agreement that
the maximum life of a person can well be up to 120
years provided all the particular parts of the body work
to their optimum levels.

WHY VIMSHOTTRI DASHA HAVE 120 YEARS:

The definition of a year is based on the completion of
one rotation of the tropical Sun in the Zodiac. The year
taken in Vimshottari dasha is also one complete round
of the Sun in all the twelve signs and again coming to
the same sign and degree (0 Aries 00’ 00.00”).

These 120 years are 120 rounds of earth around the
Sun. One revolution means traveling in all the 12 signs
or in all the 27 constellations. Sun is fixed, Earth
revolves around the Sun. As we are on earth, the theory
of relativity comes into play where we feel that it is the
Sun which revolves around the Earth even though it is
the other way round!

Each Constellation is divided in four quadrants
(charans). Thus total 27X 4 = 108 quadrants and 12
signs make 120. Each Charan of Nakshtra and Rashi
gives one year for Vimshottari dasha. Hence total 120
years is total time period of Vimshottari dasha. This
seems to be more logical having some scientific base.

The total period of 120 years has been allotted to 9
grahas as per their qualification. Here it should be noted
that the word “Graha” which is different than the word
“planet”. “Planets” and “Stars” are the words used for
heavenly bodies. Rahu and Ketu are grahas, but they
are not planets. “Graha” means sources of energy and
attraction. Rahu and Ketu do not have any physical
existence. While planets also are sources of energy,
have attraction and physical existence. In general all
are called as Grahas.

NAMES OF NAKSHATRA/CONSTELLATIONS:

There are 27 stars or constellations, whose names are
as follows:

1 Ashvini, 2 Bharani, 3 Krittika, 4. Rohini, 5 Mrug, 6,
Aardra, 7 Punarvasu, 8 Pushya, 9 Ashalesha, 10
Magha, 11 Purva, 12 Uttara, 13 Hasta, 14 Chitra, 15
Swati, 16 Vishakha, 17 Anuradha, 18 Jeshtha, 19 Mool,
20 Purvashadha, 21 Uttarashadha, 22 Shravana, 23
Dhanishta, 24 Shattaraka, 25 Purva Bhadrapada, 26
Uttara Bhadrapada, and 27 Revati.

means up to 4 charanas of Krittika, all the 12 signs are
covered (eg. 4 charanas each of Ashwini, Bharani and
Krittika). Again from Rohini same sequence is followed.
In this fashion all the 27 nakshatras consisting of 4
charanas each are covered upto the last sign of Pisces.
It takes 9 cycles to complete all the 12 signs (9X12 =
108 = 27X 4).

There are 4 Charanas/Padas of a nakshatra, where
each charana is ruled by a different sign.

In ancient times the nakshtras were counted starting
from Revati. The rulership of Revati nakshtra was given
to Mercury the innermost planet which is nearest to
Sun. Next nakshtra is Ashwini which ruled by Ketu. Next
is Bharani ruled by Venus, Krittika ruled by sun, Rohini
ruled by Moon, Mrugasirisha ruled by Mars, Ardra ruled
by Rahu, Punarvasu ruled by Jupiter and Pushya ruled
by Saturn. The next set of 9 successive nakashtras
follow the same sequence and so will the next set of 9
nakshatras too.

Now we observe that Ketu gets its nakshatra in the sign
Leo ruled by Sun, Aries (uccha sign of Sun), and in
Sagittarius (Friend of Sun). As Sun and its friends give
place to Ketu in their sign, this shows Ketu is friend of
Sun.

Each planet gets years as per the uccha rashi or own
rashi charan of the nakshatra and the relation with the
sign lord. These are in following manner:

2. VENUS MAHADASA

Venus is allotted maximum years in Vimshottari dasha
as it is friend to many sign lords and nakshatra lords. In
Krittika 4th charan, Rohini 2nd , Mrigasi 3rd , aradra 4th ,
punarvasu 2nd , purva 3rd , chitra 3rd , swati 4th , Moola
2nd , Purvashadha 3rd , Uttarashadha 4th , Shravana 2nd ,
Dhanishta 3rd , Satabhisha 4th , Purva Bhadrapada 2nd ,
Uttara Bhadrapada 3rd , and Revati 4th and two years
due to its owning two signs Taurus and Libra, this way
Venus gets 20 years as its share for its mahadasha out
of total 120 years of Vishontary dasha.

3. SUN MAHADASA

Lord of next nakshtra is Sun. it gets one year in Ashwini
1st charan, Punarvasu 1st , Magha 1st , Moola 1st , Uttara
Bhadrapada 1st , and one year due to its own sign Leo
which totals to 6 years. This way Sun gets its share of 6
years in Vishontary dasha.

4. MOON MAHADASA

Lord of next nakshtra is moon, it gets one year each in
Ashwini 4th charan, Ronini 4th ,Punarvasu 4th ,Magha
2nd ,Magha 4th , Hasta 2nd , Hasta 4th , Mula 4th , Purva
Bhadrapada 4th , and one year due to its owning sign of
Cancer which totals to 10 years. This way Moon got its
share of 10 years.

5. MARS MAHADASA

Next nakshtra lord is Mars. It gets one year each due to
Purva 4th charan, Anuradha 4th , Jyestha 2nd ,
Uttarashadha 2nd , Uttara Bhadrapada 4th , and 2 years
due to its two signs (Aries and Scorpio) which totals to 7
years. Hence Mars has its share of 7 years.

6. RAHU MAHADASA

Next nakshtra is ruled by Rahu. Rahu gets one year
each due to Bharani 2nd charan, Bharani 4th , Krittika 2nd
, Krittika 3rd , Rohini 3rd , Mrigasirisha 1st , Aridra 2nd ,
Aridra 3rd , Ashlesha 2nd , Ashlesha 3rd , Uttara 2nd ,
Uttara 3rd , Hasta 3rd , Chitra 2nd , Swati 2nd , Swati 3rd ,
Satabhisha 2nd , Satabhisha 3rd , totalling 18 years.
(There is no sign owned by Rahu).

7. JUPITER MAHADASA

Next nakshtra lord is Jupiter. It gets one year from
following nakshatra charanas. Bharani 1st , Krittika 1st ,
Rohini 1st , Pushya 1st , Pushya 4th , Ashlesha 1st ,
Ashlesha 4th , Purva 1st , Uttara 1st , Jyestha 1st ,
Jyestha 4th , Uttarashadha 1st , Purva Bhadrapada 1st
and Revathi 1st and two years due to its signs
Sagittarius and Pisces, totaling to 16 years. This way
Jupiter got its share of 16 years in Vishontary dasha.

8. SATURN MAHADASA

Next nakshtra is ruled by Saturn. It gets one year from
following nakshtra charans: Mrigasirisha 1st , Aridra 1st ,
Punarvasu 3rd , Pushya 2nd , Pushya 3rd , Purva 2nd ,
Vishakha 3rd , Anuradha 2nd , Anuradha 3rd , Jyestha 3rd ,
Purvashadha 4th , Uttarashadha 3rd , Dhanishta 2nd ,
Satabhisha 1st , Purva Bhadra 3rd , Uttara Bhadra 2nd
and Revati 3rd and two years due to its owning
Capricorn and Aquarius, totaling to 19 years.

9. MERCURY MAHADASA

Next nakshtra lord is Mercury. Mercury gets one year
each from Ashwini 2nd charan and Ashwini 3rd , Bharani
3rd , Mrigasirisha 4th , Magha 3rd , Uttara 4th , Hasta 1st ,
Chitra 1st , Chitra 4th , Swati 1st , Vishakha 1st ,
Purvashadha 2nd ,Shravana 3rd , Dhanishta 4th , and
Revati 2nd and two years due to owning Gemini and
Virgo, totaling to 17 years.

Remaining seven years are allotted to Ketu for
remaining charans of nakshtras. That is 7 years. This
way, total years of Vimshottari dasha becomes 120
years. The Vimshottari dasha is calculated as per the
longitude of Moon using Krushna’s Ayanamsha only.
With any other ayanamsha, dasha will not match
with events. Above concept is shown in tabular form for
ease of understanding.

INNER GRAHAS:

Mercury 17 shak ( years)

Ketu 7 shak (years)

 Venus 20 shak (years)

Sun 6 shak (Years)

Moon 10 shak (Years)

TOTAL YEARS 60 (shak)

OUTER GRAHAS

Mars 7 years (shak)

Rahu 18 years (Shak)

Jupiter 16 years (shak)

Saturn 19 years (shak)

TOTAL YEARS 60 (shak)

The periods, as shown in Tab.15, are known as
Mahadasha (Main Periods) of planets. The Mahadasha
period is very large period hence it is divided into nine
sub periods (known as Antardasas). The divisions for
each sub period of planets are in the proportion to the
planet’s Mahadasha period. The first sub division (antar
dasha) is always that of the Mahadasha Lord. It is in the
same order as per the rulers of nakshtras.

The one year is a time sector of one revolution of Sun in
zodiac. In Mahadasha period, Year is defined as per one
complete revolution of the Tropical Sun (Sayan sun)
starting from Sun’s tropical longitude in natal chart in
zodiac. In our programme we get Nirayan longitude of
planets. Hence adding the ayanansha in the longitude of
planets we get Tropical longitude. Hence to get tropical
longitude of Sun we should add the ayanansha to natal
Sun’s longitude. Sun normally takes approximately
365.25 days to complte 360 degrees (one revolution in
zodiac).

The year is further devided in 12 months. One Month in
mahadasha is a transit of tropical Sun in one Sign. The
time is further measured in following units. The units of
measuring time in Indian system are Ghati, Pal, Vipal,
and Nimish.

One nimish = 1/150th division of Second

60 Nimish = one Vipal = 0.4 second

60 Vipal = one Pal = 24 seconds

60 Pal = one Ghati = 24 minute

60 Ghati = one day. (One day is the quantum of time
measured from Sun rise to the Sun rise of next day)

The longitude of planets measured as Completed sign,
Ansha, Kala and Vikala. In Modern days we follow
western system which is Sign, Degree, Minute and
Second. This means Degree is equal to Ansha; Minute
is equal to Kala and second is equal to Vikala. There is
no smaller division in western system. In Indian system
Nimish is 1/60th division of Vipal, which is equal to 1/150
division of a second.

Sun’s transit in one day is approximately one degree.
One day is equal to 60 ghaties.

Dasha is calculated based on the longitude of Moon,
and Mahadasha lord is nakshatra lord in which Moon is
said to be in natal chart. Mahadasha at the time of birth
is that of the ruler of the nakshatra lord. The balance of
Mahadasha at the birth time is known as Bhogya, and
that portion which is passed is known as Bhukt. As we
know that the longevity of any Nakshtra is 13 degrees
20 minutes (Total 800 minutes). The dasha period
proportionate to passed Degrees of Nakshtra is the
dasha period which has already passed. We will explain
this with the help of an example.

HOW TO FND SECTORS IN ANTRADASA:

For finding what sector of antradasa it will fall into, we first have to
find the status of the marriage, as to whether it will be an
EARLY MARRIAGE, a MODERATE DELAY, or a FULL
DELAY.

In analyzing the planets, we have to consider the
conditions of planets in the Navamsha as well as the
Rasi chart as they both have equal status.

WHAT IS IMPORTANCE OF DESH, KAAL AND PATRA WHILE READING A CHART:

The Country and its customs, as well as the culture and
society can play an important role in the determination of
a result. For example, in some customs in India, if there
is a death in the family, then one cannot marry for a
period of 1 year. So if for example, the period based on
our calculations are falling in that period then without
understanding the customs the marriage timing might
become inaccurate.

The country, the society and its customs at that time, the
individual, his religion and religious beliefs have to be
carefully studied and analyzed by the astrologer before
pronouncing the result. This is also called the “Desh,
Kaal and Paatra” principle or loosely translated as
Country, Time and Individual.

IMPORTANT FACTORS FOR MATCH MAKING:

In ancient times, or in conservative cultures, it was
considered very bad if a female’s chart had Mars in
some particular houses (1st, 4th, 7th, 8th and 12th
houses). Female with such a Mars in her chart, makes
her bold and gives leadership quality. In olden days in
India women were not allowed to take on leadership
roles, or to conduct rituals. Their entry in the living room
itself was not acceptable; leave alone their going out to
work.

However in today’s world women are working in various
organizations in top posts as CEOs, Directors and
Managers or holding positions of authority. For being
successful they must be more aggressive and quick in
taking decisions with confidence. A strong Mars
situated in above said houses gives such qualities.

Therefore, all laws given by our seers and sages, should
be understood, interpreted and factored while reading a
chart intelligently and logically. Let us take an example
of marriage. We must consider the following things
applying the common sense.

For example if both the individuals entering into a marital
relationship, are very stubborn then definitely problems
can be anticipated. The SAV points in Lagna, Moon
sign and Sun sign are good indicators. The status of
Moon is also very important and must be carefully
studied. Ideally the natures of the couple must match
with each other.

EGO FACTOR:

This must be studied keeping in mind the ‘desh, kaal
and paatra’ principle. In some places, the expectation
from women might be to produce kids and manage the
home only, while the males might be the bread earner.
Now in such cases, if the chart of the female is showing
strong individuality then she might find herself caged in
and might lead to a break in marital ties. Such factors
also must be checked carefully.

GOOD FRIENDSHIP:

Good friendship between the couple, can give a long
lasting and a meaningful relationship. If there is
disharmony between the couples all the time, it might
have a snow-balling effect on their children and could
cause disturbance in the family.

SEXUAL COMPATIBILITY:

Having good sexual compatibility can lead to a healthy
relationship between the couple. This has to be
carefully studied, if one partner has a stronger desire for
sex and the other does not, that can lead to extra marital
affairs, which can be seen in the chart. So such
indications should be studied carefully keeping in mind
the individuals.

CHILDREN:

The main aim of the marriage in India is to have children
to continue the heredity lineage. However, one of the
partners may have some medical problem but the
couple has a desire to have children. Then over a
period of time such desires might cause a rift between
the couples and if there are indications, then eventually
their marriage may end in divorce. So again, it’s
imperative that this must be carefully studied.

INTELLIGENCE FACTOR

Communication is a very important factor in any
relationship. That will also depend on the level of
intelligence as well and the grasping power and the
power to understand the other.

HOW TO FIND FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN TWO PERSONS:

Following laws can be applied to friendships of two
persons of same sex or opposite sex.

The attraction between two persons of opposite sex is
strong, if their charts are overlapped on each other, the
Saturn and/or Rahu in male chart should aspect or in
conjuctionsion with the Mars of female chart. We know
that Saturn has 3rd, 7th and 10th sight and Rahu has 5th,
7th, 9th and 2nd sights. (Rahu always moves in retrograde
motion, hence sight is also considered in reverse
direction, but here we have given in forward direction as
we apply for other planets).

For example in a male’s chart, Saturn is placed in
Lagna. Suppose in female’s chart Mars is placed in 3rd
house or 7th or 10th house. If we superimpose these two
charts, Saturn will have its aspect on the house where
Mars is situated. If Mars of female chart is also situated
in lagna, this means Saturn of Male and Mars of female
are in conjuction house wise.

In above example, suppose Mars in the female’s chart is
in 3rd house and Rahu in male’s chart is placed in 11th
house, 9th house, 7th house or in 2nd house and then
they will have good friendship. If Mars in female chart is
situated in same house in which Rahu of male chart is
situated then they will have good respect and attraction
for each other.

Same thing should also be seen as per rashi (Signs) of
Saturn and Rahu of male and Mars of Female chart.

In above example suppose Saturn is situated in Gemini
sign, and If Mars in female chart is situated in Leo,
Sagittarius, or Pisces, it will have aspect of Saturn.
Suppose in same case in male’s chart Rahu is situated
in Cancer, Aries, Sagittarius or Aquarius, they will have
good friendship. If Mars in female chart is in Gemini,
means it is in same sign as of male’s Saturn. Such
persons can become good friends and also can become
good life partners having good bonding.

Saturn and/or Rahu of female chart should be found in
association (by sight or conjunction) with the Venus of
male chart by house or by sign.

If the Sun and the Moon of two charts exchange houses
or signs, a close friendship is indicated.

If Venus and Mars are in the same Navamsha, or the
Navamsha lord is the same, this also indicates a close
friendship.

HOW TO FIND TIMING OF EVENT:

KRUSHNA'S ASHTAKAVARGA SYSTEM (KAS) provides consistent and
reliable techniques for timing events for all areas of life.
The first step before venturing into timing of event is to make
sure that the birth details like date of birth, place of birth and
time of birth are accurate. Timing of all events will match only
when birth details are accurate. It is observed that the
birth time recorded is most often rounded off to the
nearest even figure like 12:30, 3:45 etc. The first cry of
the child is when it takes its first breath. This is
considered as starting of the individual entity of a child.
This time must be recorded correctly. The time recorded
in a hospital may vary by 10 to 15 minutes, depending
upon the hospital administration, the accuracy of the
clock, etc. Prematuare birth and before time scissors,
Kas laws may not match as there is difference in natural
birth and forceful birth. If the conception Date and time is
known one can find the natural birth date and time, and
rectify the chart on that basis. The degree of Moon at
the time of Conception should be same for natural birth
date and time. Natural birth time is generally 272.75
days aproximately from the conception time.

HOW TO RECTIFY BIRTH TIME OF A PERSON:

In order to verify the correctness of the birth time, one
should ask some questions about nature and major
events in the life of the native such as The nature of the native,
Education, brilliancy, performance in academics. Match occupation,
Job or line of work of the native with staring date. Periods of
good success and difficult times. Date of death of the loved ones
of the native (parents, etc). Date of marriage. Birth of children
of male/ female. Date of purchase of property or vehicle etc.

Any other significant events which have occurred in the
life of the native.

Most of the above past events must match, particularly
death of loved ones and happiness in married life. If
there is a deviation, then rectification of birth time is
necessary. The birth time should be corrected so that
most of the events can match after such rectification of
birth time.

1. The chart must be calculated using Krushna’s
ayanansha.

2. Navamsha chart and other divisional charts must be
cast.

3. Full Vimshottari Dasha (Mahadasha and antar dasha)
calculations should be prepared before hand.

4. Ashtakvargas must be calculated.

5. Work sheets must be calculated for finding the
strength of all planets for all the 12 houses.

All the past events must be verified as per Worksheet in
the antar dasha of the powerful planets. The date of the
event, must match as per Sun’s Transit in the sign and
nakshatra of the powerful significator.

When majority of the events are matching, then further
predictions may be taken up but not until then.

PROCEDURE USED TO FIND TIMING OF EVENTS:

Cast the chart using Krushna’s Ayanamsha. This will
ensure that the accurate degrees, minutes and seconds
of planets are factored in. Identify Samdharmis from Rashi
and Navamsha charts.

Then find the KAS Ashtakvarga Power for each planet
for all 12 houses of Rashi and for all planets. This net
power is denoted in a numerical format which makes
comparing and judging the power of a planet with other
planets very easy. This can be done at a glance.

Once we know the accurate position of moon, we can
cast the Vimshottari Dasha. Only two levels i.e.
Mahadasha and Antar Dasha are sufficient in the KAS
system.

MAHADASHA:

The Mahadasha lord denotes the Karakatva. In all the antar dashas,
flavor of Mahadasha lord‘s karakatva will be experienced.
We know that a planet is the karaka of 6th house from its sign.
The status of the Mahadasha lord will be responsible for the
quality of all events in that Mahadasha. If the
Mahadasha lord is lords of two signs, the result of its
antar dasha will have the flavor of both the signs of the
karkatva in proportion to the ashtakvarga points.

ANTARDASA:

Antardasa lord will furnish the result for all
12 houses as per its power for the respective houses.

The Antar Dasha duration of some planets is very long.
Hence Antar Dasha is divided into three equal sectors.
If the event is smooth without any obstruction it may
take place in the 1st sector itself. If there is a moderate
delay then the event will take place in the 2nd sector and
if there is extreme or full delay, then it will be
experienced in the 3rd sector only.

Sun’s Transit: (Probable date) The date of any event
is determined from the Sun’s transit. The event will take
place on the dates, when Sun transits in the powerful
significator’s sign and nakshatra. The transit of Sun is
used to find the probable date of the event within the
sector. The event gets triggered when Sun transits the
sign and nakshatras of a powerful significator for the
particular house as per the strength calculated in the
KAS Work Sheet Summary. In this way, we can reach
pin point target date of the event.

FINDING POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE EVENT IN THE ANTARDASA:

So far we have seen that any positive event occurs in
the anter dasha of a powerful significator or lord of D or
E or planets situated in House D or E with more than 4
points. Negative events happen in the antar dasha of
weak planets or planets having less than 12 points in the
work sheet. Death is considered as a positive event.
Same way for a separation (temporary or permanent) in
married life too happens in the antra of powerful planet
for 2nd house. Dispute or differences of opinion in marital
life happens in the antra of planet having less point for
7th house.

The main period is that of the karaka planet (lord of A) or
it’s Samdharmi (Natural or Functional). The length of
the sub periods of planets vary as per the Mahadasha
lord’s period. If the Mahadasha period is lengthy then
the Antar Dasha will also be proportionately longer. It is
very important to narrow down this time period in order
to locate the timing of the event.

HOW TO FIND DELAY WITHIN ANTRADASA PERIOD:

The Antar Dasha is divided into three equal sectors. To
find the particular sector we have to consider the
following rules:

To check whether there is any delay indicated for the
event in the chart. Check the total delay period. Event
can happen only after the delay period gets over. KAS is
having its unique calculation system for Delay of any
event. Details are given in next chapter.

If delay is lengthy, then the event will happen after the
delay period gets over and in the Antar Dasha which has
more points. Again in such Antar Dasha, event will take
place in the 3rd sector.

If delay is moderate due to any reason, the event will
take place in the 2nd sector.

If there is no delay, or delay is compensated due to any
rider, the event will take place in the 1st sector itself.

The exact date of the event is the product of Sun’s
transit in the signs and nakshatras of the powerful
planets (significator). This can be easily seen from the
Probable Date Finder (PDF) Table or from the Sun’s
transit in signs and degrees from the Ephemeris
(Panchang).

The Daily transit points should be in upward trend for
beneficial results.

The transit of Saturn and Jupiter is also responsible for
the psychological mood of the person. If the transit
points of Saturn and Jupiter are in the house having 4 or
more than 4 points each person will feel more relaxed.
Generally the total of both planets should not be less
than 8 points.

The transit of natural malefic planets (Saturn and/or
Mars) over any house having zero point in SAV due to
any planet will show some negativity in the events.
Generally person feels some unnecessary tension like
facing non-cooperation from assistants, subordinates
etc. Some time it also gives unnecessary blame to the
native.

The result in any antar dasha is for all the 12 houses, as
per the points acquired in Worksheet. But such results
are experienced at different times as per PDF which is
based on Sun’s transit in the signs and nakshatras of
planets as per the power for any particular house. This
means one may experience very good result for a
house, while at the same time experience negative
result for some other house.

In each antardasha one can have result for all houses
having good strength for the lord of antardasha. This
means result pertaining to different houses can be
experienced in one antardasha. This is based on the
Sun’s transit in powerful planets for a particular house.
Day to day variation in result in any Antar Dasha may be
due to Sun’s transit and Worksheet points. The result
varies as per the strength of the planet for a particular
house in whose sign and nakshtra Sun is having its
transit. That is the reason why we experience the ups
and downs during the course of each day.

HOW TO FIND DELAY IN THE EVENT:

Aspect of Saturn on A, B, C, houses or lords of these
houses or a combination of both delays the event. If
Saturn aspects any one of the A, B, C House and also
aspects the lords of the remaining Houses gives similar
result.

If Saturn is situated in the House A and has aspect on
the lord of house B, can give delay in the event related
to house B.

If Saturn is situated in house B or C and aspects the
lords of the other two houses, will delay the event
denoted by house B.

If Saturn aspects all the three lords of A, B, C houses
can delay the event of house B.

All above points are also applicable in the Navamsha
chart.

If Saturn aspects some of the houses or lords in the
natal chart and aspects the remaining houses or lords in
the Navamsha chart will also lead to delay in the event
of house B.

If 7th lord is situated in 2nd house along with Saturn will
cause delay in marriage.

In above laws, there is no effect of Saturn SAV points
on delay. If Saturn is with less than 4 points, 4 points or
more than 4 points delay will be there. But we can say if
Saturn with fewer points will cast benefic aspect, the
delay may be for the betterment of the result. Similarly, if
Saturn has more points in a house, its aspects are
considered malefic. Hence malefic aspect will also tend
to delay the event but that may be at the cost of
happiness of the event. In this case if Saturn is lord of
house D or E, malefic effect will be nullified.

The Delay due to Saturn is proportionate to the degrees
of the natal Saturn in the sign it is situated. Suppose
Saturn is in the starting degree of the sign, then it will
give full delay. If it is in the last degree delay will be
reduced. Particularly for the event of marriage maximum
delay due the aspect of Saturn is 27.5 years of native’s
age. Minimum delay is 25 years. This means 1 degree
of Saturn will cause 1 month’s delay.

For events other than marriage, this delay period will be
different, and will be based upon the age of the native.

The delay period of Saturn is different for other events of
the life. The delay period is also a function of the karaka
and root karak planets. For example for accumulation of
wealth/financial stability which is 2nd house matter,
karaka is 9th house lord (Functional and Natural Karaka).
Maximum delay will be about fifthy two years of the age
of the jatak. Such delay is experienced if Saturn is
situated in 12th house or having its aspect on 2nd, 6th and
9th house and or their lords. If Saturn is situated in any of
the above houses and aspects on the lords of other
houses can give delay.

For Child birth Karaka is Jupiter. If there is no denial,
maximum delay can be up to 11 years after marriage.
For job or business lagna lord and Mars are responsible.
If Karakas are fast moving planets delay will be less and
for slow moving planets delay will be more.

HOW TO FIND DELAY DUE TO JUPITER:

If Jupiter aspects house A and B or their lords in natal
and Navamansha chart, it will cause delay. Jupiter
cannot have its sight simultaneously on House A and B.
But it can have sight on one house and the lord of
another house, or both the lords, or could be placed in
one house and aspect the lord of the other house. Same
way if Jupiter is situated in any house along with lords of
house A and B, will give delay.

The delay due to Jupiter depends upon the sign in which
it is placed. In own sign, friend’s sign, and uccha or in
mooltrikon sign, delay is up to 20% approximately of the
legal age including delay due to any other reason. This
is irrespective of the Jupiter SAV points. (The effect of
Jupiter’s points is taken care of, in our Woorksheet).
Such delay is calculated after the delay caused by
Saturn or normal age of achieving the event.

If Jupiter is situated in a neutral sign delay will be about
15%. In enemies sign delay is 10 %.

Particularly for marriage, Jupiter in Libra delays up to
20%. This also reduces 12th house results.

WHICH FACTORS CAUSE DELAY IN MARRIAGE:

Delay can be due to psychology or nature of the native.
More than 28 SAV points in lagna make the native
stubborn. It is difficult to convince such a person. Such
person remains adamant in his views, and does not
agree or adjust. This attitude may lead to delay for some
events like marriage etc. If SAV points in third house are
also more and Sav points in 6th and 10th house are less
makes the native dreamier. This will also result in
unnecessary delay in marriage.

The moon in the chart being afflicted by Rahu makes the
mind of the person more whimsical. He may not be able
to take right decisions at the proper time. This may lead
to delay in the event.

If Navamsha lord of Karaka and Root Karaka
(Karakansha lord/swami) aspects House B in the natal
chart, then it may delay or even deny the event.

Karakansha lord/swami if placed in the 6th house in
Navamsha or natal chart will also hamper the result.

If Karakansha lord/swami is Samdharmi to 6th lord of
natal chart or 12th lord from House B then the event will
get affected and delayed.

EFFECT OF ZERO GIVEN BY PLANET IN ANY HOUSE OF SARVASHTAKAVARGA:

Zero for any planet in the SAV table for any house in a
chart, will delay the marriage. For other matters a house
having zero point, effects will be as per the Karakatva
and Root Karakatva of the planet giving zero. When
there are two zeroes in the chart, delay for marriage will
be significant. Three zeroes make delay more badly. It
may even lead to a total denial of the event.

EFFECT OF VENUS IN KRITIKA NAKSHATRA:

Venus in Krittika nakshatra delays the marriage and may
also disturb the marital happiness. Same way Venus in
other nakshtras of Sun or Aradra or Mrig nakshtra also
reduces marital happiness.

Sun-Venus distance of more than 43 degrees, changes
the mentality of the person. It may lead to the native
having extra marital affairs or multiple marriages. But at
the same time this may have better effect on the working
of the person. This is due to increase in freedom of
Venus, which make the person to read the minds of the
other persons very easily. He becomes more tactful in
handling people. This quality may be helpful at the work
place and in the society. Shani is the planet that
enhances the bad qualities of Venus.

WHAT IS PLANET'S ROLE IN SUCCESS OF JOB:

The success in own business depends upon Sun and
Jupiter. If karakansha of these planets have aspect on
5th house or 10th house or their lords, then it may cause
delay in achieving success in own business or
profession. This may lead to failure also. Same way if
the karakansha lord of 5th and 12th house aspects 5th or
10th house, native will get delayed or denial of success.
Mars is natural karak for Lagna; hence powerful Mars in
the chart increases the individuality. For getting good
success in any venture native must have powerful Mars
along with above good Sun and Jupiter. The functional
karakanshas of tenth and 5th house, if situated in these
houses result will be more prominent. This should be
checked from D 24, and D 60 charts also.

RIDERS FOR DELAY OF AN EVENT:

Blessings in the chart help in reducing all types of
delays and for all the matters. Strong blessings are
indicated if 9th lord is situated in 2nd house.

Aspect of Jupiter on delay causing planet in rashi or
Navamsha moderates the delay. If such Jupiter is
placed in the sign or nakshatra of the delay causing
planet, then it may not be able to control the delay.

If Karakas (both karak and root karak) are in swa
navmansha, (in own sign) there will be no ill effect.
For example say Jupiter is karaka for any event and
is lord of Sagittarius, if it were to be placed in
Sagittarius Navamsha and then only it is said tobe in
swa navmansha and it will not make any negative
impact. Even if it were to be placed in Pisces
Navamsha then it should not be treated as in swa
navmansha for above referred case.

If the navmansha lords of karak and root karak is
placed in house B or with the lord of B, the delay
due to any reason may get nullified, and event may
be experienced earlier.

The results in any Antar Dasha can be judged from
the Work sheet points. The result is generally
achieved after the delay period gets over and in the
Antar Dasha of a powerful significator.

WHAT IS KARAKA:

A karaka is always 8th house lord from focus house B.
Same way each sign is a Karaka sthaan for 6th sign from
it. We use sign chart, means each sign denotes one
house. Lagna house is treated as first house of the
chart. The sign lord of each house is known as lord of
that house. Hence each house lord is karak for sixth
house from that house. Its lord is known as Karaka for
that house. For example Mars is lord of Aries sign and is
Karaka for Virgo sign.

It is immaterial which house has
Aries sign in the chart. Hence for Virgo sign always Mars
will be karak as a lord of Aries sign. For the chart having
Aries as an ascendant Mars will be natural karak for
sixth house (Virgo sign). Kalpurush chart is a chart with
Aries ascendant, and Karaka planets are known as
Natural Karakas. Venus being the lord of Taurus sign is
the Natural Karaka for 7th house (Libra sign). The result
of 7th house depends upon the placement of Venus in
the natal chart. Same way Jupiter, 9th lord (Sagittarius
sign) is the Natural Root Karaka for 7th house. The
quality and quantum of the result of 7th house depends
upon the placement and strength of Venus and Jupiter
in the natal chart. Venus is known as natural karak and
Jupiter isd known as natural root karak for 7th house.
Strong position of natural Karaka and Root Karaka gives
good and happy results for the house.

WHAT IS KARAKAMSA OR KARAKANSHA:

The Navamsha of Karaka planet and Root Karaka
planet is known as Karakamsha and Root Karakamsha
respectively. The quality, quantum and timing of event
are also functions of Karakamsha and its placement in
the natal and Navamsha chart.

For other charts with different ascendants Karaka
planets are denoted as Functional Karaka (tatkalika
karaka) and Functional Root Karaka. Functional Karaka
and Functional Root Karaka should be given prime
importance and more weightage than the Natural
Karaka and Root Karaka. Navamsha lord of Functional
Karaka is called as Functional Karakamsha and that of
Functional Root Karaka is called as Functional Root
Karakamsha. The result of any house is based upon the
placement of Functional and Natural Karakamsha and
Root Karakamsha in natal chart. To assess the quality of
the result of any house requires the remapping of the
Karakamsha and Root Karakamsha (Functional and
Natural) in the natal chart and deep study of the same
should be done by applying the Kas laws. This process
makes it very ease and give clearcut idea about detailed
result of any house.

The negativity or positivity of the result of any
house can be clearly inderstood in a weel defined
and accurate manner. Denial of any result is clearly
indicated; even delay is also seen in a very precise
manner. By applying this system we can read the
language of the planets and their inclination in a
very precise and accurate way. (This system opens up
all details of the chart but the astrologers are advised to
communicate any result in a very sofistcated manner to
the native so he should not get hurt or disheartened.)

EFFECT OF PLACEMENT OF OF ROOT KARAKA IN VARIOUS HOUSES:

If root karaka is in house B (focus house) then the result of house B
will be achieved earlier.

If Root Karaka is in house A, this is good for the the focus house B.

If lord of house A is in root karak house, this may reduce the happiness
of house B as this has gone to 8th from own house.

If lord of house B is in root karak house, this may reduce the happiness
of house B.

EFFECT OF PLACEMENT OF KARAKAMSA (KARAKANSHA) AND ROOT KARAKAMSA:

1) If Karakamsha (Navamsha and respective divisional
lord) has its 7th aspect on House B or its lord, it may
delay, decrease or deny the result.

2) The aspect of Karakamsha or Root Karakamsha on
House B or its lord by other than 7th sights will delay
the event and decrease the happiness.

3) The Karakamsha or Root Karakansha of any house
under focus situated in 6th house of the natal or
Navamsha chart may spoil the quality of the result,
hence reduced happiness of the focus house. This
law is not applicable for 11th house matters.

4) Placement of Karakamsha lord in House D or E will
give better result for House B. If these are with
more points, definitely will give better result.

5) Placement of Karakamsha lord in Root Karaka
House (F) is not a healthy placement; it will reduce
the result or may even deny the result of House B.

6) Placement of Karakamsha and/or Root
Karakamsha along with lord of House B in any
house (except sixth) will enhance the result and
result can be experienced earlier.

7) Placement of Karakamsha and/or Root
Karakamsha in House B, will give the result very
early. This will also work as a rider for delay due to
any reason.

8) If Karakansha or Root Karakansha lords are lords of
house D or E, no malefic effect of their aspect will
be felt on House B or its lord.

9) If Karakansha or Root Karakansha (Natural or
Functional) gives a zero in its SAV for House B,
then there can be denial of the result pertaining to
that house.

All above laws must be studied very keenly before
ascertaining the result of any house. Proper study of any
chart with the application of the above laws will enable
us to make a correct and proper assessment of the chart
and fruition or otherwise of the events. The effect of
Karakamsha and Root Karakamsha changes the
complexion of the chart. Denial or delay of any result
cannot be judged without studying the effect of
Karakamsha and Root Karakamshas.

HOW TO JUDGE THE PROFESSION OF A PERSON?

Before judging the profession of a person, it is
necessary to ascertain his mental, intellectual,
educational and physical abilities.

For studying these things we should study the Lagna
chart, Sun chart and moon chart. Lagna chart is rashi
chart or natal chart. Sun chart is made by treating the
sign in which Sun is placed, as 1st house or Sun Lagna.
Similarly, Moon chart is made by treating the sign in
which Moon is placed, as 1st house or Moon Lagna.
Other planets are placed as per their positions in
different signs.

The 1st house of all these charts indicates the nature of
the person, his brilliancy and other qualities required for
selecting a profession. The divisions of Lagna, Sun and
Moon in navmansha, Trishansha and dreshkona chart
helps in studying basic qualities of the person. Before
finding the profession of a person we must get idea
about his ambition, his attitude, his knowledge, his
action, his confidence, way of accepting the challenges,
his ability to handle the responsibilities, his dedication
for the work and lastly the success he can achieve. We
must study the full chart to ascertain all these qualities.

1st house of the chart, its Karaka and Root Karaka and
Karakamsha Etc., must be studied in depth. The
placement of planets in karaka houses, placement of
karaka and root karaka in the chart, karakansha and
root karakansha planets and their placement should be
studied. We can come to conclusion on the basis of all
these factors. More points in lagna indicate the general
confidence of the person. Sometimes over confidence
may lead to stubborn nature.

Karaka of any house is the 8th lord from that
house which controls the overall quality of the result of
that house. The result of any house depends upon the
status of the Karaka Planet.

AMBITION:

Ambition is not what man does, but it is what man would
do. Great ambition is passion of great character. Those
endowed with it, may perform very good or very bad act.
This all depends upon the principles which direct them.
Courage, confidence and risk seeking profile are needed
to have high Ambition. These qualities are based on the
Power of Lagna (SAV points) and the strength of Mars,
(the natural karaka of lagna). Ambition is the last
infirmity of noble mind. Hence Moon is also very
important planet. For Good ambition Mars lord of
Scorpio and Moon having touch of Scorpio (may be in
sign or Navamsha, nakashtra or being Samdharmi to
Mars)

Attitude:

Our attitude controls our lives. One’s attitude is a secret
power working for good or bad. A positive attitude can
really make dreams come true. Great efforts spring
naturally from great attitude. Lagna and placement of
the Lagna lord is mainly responsible for one’s attitude.
One may not be able to change his fate but he can and
should change his attitude. Moon is the karaka of fate.
12th house shows the attitude of a person. Venus is the
karaka of attitude (natural 7th lord) and Root Karaka
(natural 2nd lord).

Knowledge:

Knowledge is power. There are three principal means of
acquiring knowledge. They are 1) observation of nature,
2) reflection and 3) experimentation. Today knowledge
has power. It controls access to opportunity and
advancement. Saturn is a karaka for Knowledge.
Knowledge and wisdom are two different things.
Wisdom is controlled by Mercury and knowledge by
Saturn. Saturn is truth and truth makes us free.
Knowledge is gained by learning, trust is gained by
doubts, and skill is achieved by practice. Skeptic doubts
are of no use. Quantity of knowledge may raise ego and
is of no use, but the quality of knowledge determines the
mind’s dignity. Powerful Saturn may give good quality of
knowledge and memory. Mercury gives wisdom logic
and brilliency. Powerful Jupiter may give knowledge of
different subjects (jack of all trades but master of none).

Action:

Action speaks louder than words. Action is a real
measure of intelligence. Personal power is the ability to
take action. The 3rd house denotes action; Saturn is the
karaka of 3rd house. A strong Saturn will give better
capacity for taking action. Strong Sun as a root karak for
3rd house, is also a deciding factor.

Confidence:

Confidence is the first requisite for a great
understanding. Our experience tells us what to do, but
only our confidence allows us to do it. Confidence is the
feeling we have before we understand the situation.
Confidence means we believe we can get the job done.
Points in lagna denote the confidence level of the native.
Mars the Natural karaka of lagna is mainly responsible
for the confidence of the person. Mercury lord of 3rd
house is root karak for Lagna, plays vital role in building
up the confidence. To understand the Situation one
must have brilliancy. More SAV points in Lagna indicate
confidence, but with weak Mercury support this may
lead to stubbornness.

Challenge:

A challenge may be treated as an opportunity to prove
one’s ability. Rich and successful people are solution
oriented. They spend their time and energy in planning
the answers to challenges that come up and creating
systems to make certain that such problems do not
occur again. Strong mercury and more sectors of
Mercury in Navamsha, Dreshkona and Trimshamsha of
Lagna, Sun and Moon indicate brilliancy of the person.
To accept any challenge, person must have good
brilliancy.

Responsibility:

Responsibility is handled very successfully if one has
capacity. A capable person can have power, and can
take responsibility. Responsibility walks hand in hand
with capacity and power. A responsible person always
walks with his feet on ground. 10th house indicates the
capacity of the person to handle the authority and to
take on any responsibility. Sun is natural karak and
Jupiter is natural root karak for responsibility.

Dedication:

In order to make dreams come true, it takes a lot of
Determination, Dedication, Discipline and Devotion. To
achieve anything, one should have faith, belief, vision,
hard work, determination, and dedication. All these
subjects are seen from the Upachaya sthaans of a chart.
3rd house indicates dreams, 6th house indicates
thinking and vision, and 10th house indicates action
and hard work, 11th house indicates the desired
results.

Victory:

Victory (success) is always possible for the person, who
refuses to stop fighting. Victory comes in the end, but it
is the sight of victory, in one’s dreams and thoughts that
inspire us to fight. Victory is 11th house matter, based
on dreams (the 3rd house matter), thoughts (6th house)
and fight is (10th house matter). If all these houses in a
chart are strong and in ascending order, points wise,
one can achieve the Victory. In fact dream and victory
are in 5:9 relations, astrologically in a chart. With out
dream, Victory can not be there. Yes dedication is must.

HOW TO FIND PERSON'S QUALITIES FOR A PROFESSION:

To ascertain the working field of native we must find
details about the following matters.
1) Confidence of the person in his ability:
2) Sharpness of mind
3) Approach / willingness to adopt new systems
4) Brilliancy
5) Memory
6) Basic nature
7) Education
8) Specific Knowledge
9) Health factor
10) Ability to work hard

Confidence cycle: The confidence of a person is seen
from Lagna. Lagna is most important house for
assessing the confidence and overall qualities of a
person. Proceeding from Lagna to the 8th House in anti-
clockwise direction, we check the karaka of each house.
Again starting from 8th house, the eighth house is third
house and so on. This cycle ends in the 12th house.

HOW TO SEE EARNING CAPACITY OF A PERSON?

The earning capacity of a native is
judged from houses starting from Lagna and proceding
to every sixth house there after, but in anti-clockwise
direction (in northen chart). This cycle will end on the
2nd House.

Cycle 1) to understand about the native’s ability etc., we
have to study the Lagna, 8th house, 3th house, 10th
house, 5th house and lastly the 12th house. Every 8th
house is taken from Lagna in an anti-clockwise direction.

Cycle 2) to find the earning capacity of the person we
take the 6th house in an anti-clockwise direction from the
Lagna. This comes to Lagna, 6th house, 11th house, 4th
house, 9th house and the 2nd house.

To study in detail we must find the position of every
karaka. Karaka of Lagna is the 8th lord. 3rd lord is the
karaka for 8th house and Root Karak for Lagna. 10th
house is the karaka for 3rd house of Parakram and Root
Karaka for 8th house. 5th house is the Karaka for the 10th
house and Root Karaka for the 3rd house. And lastly
12th house is the karaka for 5th house and Root Karaka
for 10th house. We should study these karakas and root
karakas for each house to find the quality of the result.

BETTER INDIVIDUALITY OF A PERSON:

The individuality of a person is judged from Lagna
house. The karaka of lagna is mainly responsible for
finding details about the individual qualities of the
person. If 8th lord is placed in a friend’s house or it’s
uccha sign, or in it’s Mooltrikon sign, it will get sufficient
freedom to show its karakatva in a positive direction. If
karaka planet is placed in enemy’s house will not be
able to give better effect of its karkatva. The Navamsha
of karaka planet is known as karakansha. If karakansha
planet aspects the house under consideration, it tends to
reduce the result. If Navamsha lord of 8th lord has
aspect on Lagna, then it will reduce the individuality of
the person. If Navamsha lord is also the 3rd lord or 11th
lord from karaka house, or placed in these houses with
more points, then it becomes eager to give the result of
the Focus House B. Hence in this case, if the
karakamsha planet is the 10th house or 6th house or
placed in 10th house or 6th house with more points will
tend to bestow better individuality and personality to the
native.

MAJOR POINTS TO REMEMBER FOR SELECTING A JOB OR PROFESSION:

For finding the suitable job or profession the following
points must be studied carefully.

1) Moon sign and its evolution: Nature of the person is
specifically based on the Moon sign. His attitude is
also a function of Lagna sign, sun sign along with
Moon sign.

2) Division of Lagna, Moon and Sun in Navamsha,
Trimshamsha and Dreshkona charts, help us in
judging the mental attitude, memory, brilliancy etc.
of the native.

We get nine sectors from the above charts. Saturn
sectors indicate memory, Mercury sectors indicate
brilliancy and logic, Mars sectors show bravery, and
Jupiter indicates diplomacy and management, and
Venus sectors indicate artistic view and trend in
management. Sun shows capacity of leadership, and
Moon Emotionality of the native. Hence the nature and
quality of the person is a combination or function of
sectors of different planets. To have good education one
must have minimum one sector of Saturn and mercury
each. But more than four sectors of any planet will give
excessive quality, which may be hazardous for the
native.

3) Karaka and Root Karaka for 1st house and their
status in the chart are more responsible for the
personality of the native. Functional Karaka of
Lagna is 8th lord and 3rd lord is the Root Karaka. If
these planets are placed in the house of their
friends or are exalted, they will give better
personality. Same way if these karaka planets are
placed in 3rd, 6th, 10th or 11th house from the karaka
house, then good results will flow. Hence native
has good scope for getting authority etc. The
karakatva of the house and placement of these
planets will reflect in the working of the person.
The Navamsha swami of Karaka and Root Karaka
also play an important role. If these navamsha
swamis are situated in Lagna, they will give better
result. The personality of the person helps in his
job, profession or career opportunities.

4) Mars and its relation with Moon and Sun: If Sun
and Moon are placed in the sign of Mars it makes
the person tough. In Scorpio, Moon makes the
person speak rudely, may not accept any type of
false things and hate dishonesty. Such person
cannot work if they don’t get proper response and
respect. Same effect is seen if Lagna lord, Sun
and/or Moon are in the Navamsha, Trimshamsha or
Dreshkona of Scorpio.

If Moon is in the sign of Mars, the person will reflect
emotional qualities of a Martian. If Sun is in the sign of
Mars, it bestows leadership qualities. If Lagna lord is in
the sign of Mars, person may be bold enough and may
work with fire and machines or Engineering. The
Martian quality can be differentiated between Arians or
scorpions. Martian qualities are under control for Arians
than Scorpions. If one of the planets, Sun, Moon or
Lagna lord is in the sign of Mars, it may bestow a better
personality. But More than one planet out of Sun, Moon
and lagna lord in Mars sign may reverse the good effect.
Worst result may be in Scorpio than in Aries. Sun
placed in Scorpio the person will take doubt in all the
matters, having no faith in others’ behavior.

5) SAV points in Lagna: If Sav points in lagna are
more than 28, person has good confidence. But
with the placement of lagna lord, Sun, or Moon in
Mercury navmansha (particularly in Gemini), and
Mercury in debilitated sign, may make the native
stubborn by nature. Such persons at times tend to
take very odd decisions which may result in great
losses.

6) SAV Points in 3,6,10.11 houses: If the points in
these houses are in increasing order, person is
successful in his venture. 3rd house is for Parakram
and also indicates dreams of the native. 6th house
indicates deep thinking of the native. 10th house
indicates his capacity and ability for doing hard work
for achieving his dreams. 11th house indicates
victory or the success in the achievement. More
Points in 3rd house than the 6th house, 10th house or
the 11th house makes person dreams big plans but
without any action or hard work. Such persons are
generally seen talking about very big aims, without
any effort. If points in 6th house and other houses
are more than 3rd house, person shows good
success in his life. For better result points of 6th
house must be higher than 3rd house, if other
houses 10th and 11th have fewer points than 6th
house, may give better result. If points in 10th are
more than 11th may show better devotion for work
and also more effort.

7) Comparison of 11th house Vs 12th house SAV
Points: The 11th house indicates earning. If points
in 12th house are more than 11th house, the person
may do over trading. He may spend more and earn
less. He may create asset or bye all amenities at
the cost of borrowing. If SAV points in 2nd house are
more than 11th house, he may have trend for
investing money in asset. This also shows that
native is not money minded. If Sun, Moon or Lagna
lord are in Mars navmansha such person, on
account of his confidence and daring will over come
all problems.

8) For finding the field in which native can see good
achievement, we must study the Karaka, Root
Karaka and Karakansha of 3rd house. Same should
be studied from Sun and Moon charts. The
karakansha lords in these charts indicate the field in
which native can have good success.

9) Same way, a study of Karak, Root Karaka and the
karakamsha for 10th house is also a must for
assessing the capability for hard work and taking on
authority and responsibility.

10) If the karakamsha lord in points above 8 and 9 are
repetitions of Saturn or Mars, person will do
something extra ordinary, beyond the expectation of
others. Such person shows good rise in the life.

 11) For finding the attitude of the native we must
study from 12th house, Venus and 7th house. Venus is
a very important planet for assessing his overall
attitude towards life. Venus is 2nd lord and 7th lord of
the natural chart. Same way the 2nd lord is a
Functional Karaka for the 7th house, hence indicates
the attitude of the person. 9th lord is Root Karaka for
7th house. Jupiter, the natural 9th lord indicates family
Sanskar (Ethics). Venus more than 43 degrees away
from sun gives good attitude for 10th house.

12) The person must have support of the luck factor.
4th lord is karaka for 9th house. Hence status of 4th
lord is very important in a chart. The Karakamsha lord
of 4th lord, if placed in the 3rd house will spoil the luck
of the person and he may face more obstructions in
life. The 11th house is the Root Karaka for 9th house.
Hence the status of 11th lord and its Karakamsha must
be studied for checking the native’s fortune.

HOW TO STUDY EFFECT OF TRANSIT OF PLANETS:

KAS gives us a very powerful tool for studying the effect
of transit planets, both for timing of event where Sun’s
transit is used to find the probable date and the event
taking place in the antra of the powerful planet in the
worksheet for a particular house. For positive effect of
any event there must be atleast three powerful planets
in work sheet. Planets having more than 12 points are
eligible for giving any result. Therefore, the day on which
the event is likely to take place is determined by the
transit of Sun in the sign and nakashtra of other two
strong planets as per the work sheet for that house only.

EFFECT OF DAILY TRANSIT POINTS:

The SAV points of the houses,
where the planets are transiting on particular date is
taken in to consideration. Total of all SAV points, for the
houses where planets are having their transit, are added
and total of these points gives an idea about the overall
state of mind of the native for that day. A day can be
taken as an average day having the SAV points for all
the planets, equal to 196 (28X7=196). If the points are
less than 196, indicates the person is having some
tension may be on account of work load or added
responsibility. More than 196 points indicate that the
person is in a tension-free mood or in positive state of
mind.

HOW TO FIND TRANSIT EFFECT OF PLANETS:

The Transit effect of all planets is useful to judge the
native’s mental condition. Such transit effect is not
directly involved in the timing of an event. But Favorable
events mostly take place on the day having more points
than the previous day’s points. Suppose on a particular
day transit points of all planets are say 169 and next day
those are 170 or more means it is an increasing trend,
hence some good result or some releief for the mental
tension can be experienced. The SAV points for all the
houses are fixed for a natal chart, based on the planets
situated in that chart. Transit points for a particular chart
are calculated as per the SAV points with respect to
transit of planet in that chart. Hence the transit effect for
two natal charts can not be compared with respect to
transit points. This also means even if the total transit
points for two different natal charts are equal, still there
will not be an identical mental status of those two
persons. When the points show an increasing trend,
person’s performance, mood and mental feelings will be
better.

WHEN GOOD EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE?

We can assume that generally good events will take
place when daily points show an increasing trend.
Likewise, negative result can be expected when daily
points show a decreasing trend. Death is treated as
auspicious event in KAS; hence it takes place in the
antara of a powerful planet, and on the day when the
daily transit points show an increasing trend.

EFFECT OF TRANSIT OF SATURN AND JUPITER:

Saturn and Jupiter are slow moving planets hence their
transit in any house is very important as they give long
term effect. If the total of their BAV points (Bhinnashtak
varga points) in the houses where Saturn and Jupiter
are having their transit is 8, their transit is said to be in
neutral mode. When total of their points are more than
8, native feels more energetic. If the points are less
than 8, native may end up feeling dull or depressed.

The average points in any house are 28. This means
when any house is having 28 SAV points, native
experiences a normal result indicated by that house.

More than 28 points indicate more favorable result of
such house. Less than 28 points means that house is
weak. If the total of SAV points of the houses where
Saturn and Jupiter are having their transit is more than
56 points, Native will feel more relaxed in that complete
transit period.

HOW TO STUDY/CHECK EFFECT OF TRANSIT OF PLANETS ON A PARTICULAR DATE:

For studing transit effect on any particular date, transit
chart should be cast for that date and time.

The transit effect has to be studied along with the timing
of events to understand the effect of both the timing of
an event as well as the effect of transit for the day.

For finding the probable date of event, only the transit of
Sun is used in the sign and nakshtra of powerful planets
in KAS worksheet as per the natal chart.

Transits of slow moving planets, such as Saturn and
Jupiter, take approximately 2.5 years and 1 year
respectively, for transiting in a sign. Hence effect of such
planets is felt over a longer duration.

The transits of fast moving planets have quicker effect
and these play a role in the mood of a native on a day to
day basis. The effect of transit of planets differs on each
and every chart. No two natives will feel similar effect.

HOW TO STUDY AND USE TRANSIT OF SUN:

The transit of Sun in the sign and nakshtras of powerful
planets as per the power in KAS work sheet can give the
probable date when an event can take place.

Sun’s transit over Sign and Nakashtra ruled by powerful
planets (as per worksheet) along with the dates is given
below as a ready reckoner for finding the Probable
Dates and we shall call it the Probable Date Finder or
PDF as its acronym.

HOW TO USE PDF IN EXCEL PROGRAM (as per KAY AYANANSHA)

Sun’s transit every year from 1st January to 9th January is in
the sign of Jupiter (Sagittarius) and in the nakshatra of Venus
(Purvashadha). The event can be experienced in this period, only
if in the antar dasha of a powerful planet and Jupiter with Venus
also having more than 12 points as per the worksheet for the same
Focus House “B”.

EFFECT OF LONG TERM TRANSIT OF PLANETS:

Long term effects are experienced for slow moving
planets like Saturn and Jupiter which transit a sign for
longer periods. Saturn takes approximately 2.5 years to
transit through a sign and Jupiter takes approximately 1
year to transit through a sign.

The effect of Jupiter and Saturn will depend on the
Bhinnashtaka power for the house they are transiting
through.

This effect will vary for each individual chart as the
Bhinnashtaka varg will be different for each chart.

Since the Bhinnashtakvarg of any planet is calculated
based on the natal placement of planets and their
relation with each other and lagna, therefore, the effect
of transiting planets will be in relation to the power that a
planet has gained for each house by virtue of their natal
positions.

This implies that the effect of transit is calculated taking
into the natal positions of all planets and their relative
placement from each other and lagna meaning the effect
of transit cannot be the same for two persons.

EFFECT OF SHORT TERM TRANSIT EFFECT OF PLANETS:

Moon is a very fast moving planet and can transit
through a house in approximately 2.5 days. Sun takes
about 1 month to transit though a sign. Mars, Venus and
Mercury are moderately fast moving planets and their
speeds can vary. They might stay in a house for a longer
period if they go into retrograde motion. Mars some time
becomes stationery, hence remains in one sign for very
longer period.

To find the day to day effect, the transits of all
planets have to be taken into consideration. The
Sarvashtakavarga points of each house are used for this
procedure. The average points for a day are 196. More
than this means the person will have a good day. Less
than 196 points means that there will be some stress or
problem or added responsibility. From this, we can
easily find the day to day results and calculate them for
weeks, months or years in advance.

There are 7 planets and we consider 28 points as
average in the SAV chart and 28 points are again based
on 7 planets gaining at least 4 points each in SAV
therefore 7 planets X 4 points each = 28 points in a
house and 7 planets X 28 points = 196, making 196
points as Average points for the day.

EFFECT OF SPECIAL TRANSIT OF PLANETS:

Saturn and Mars are natural malefics by nature and their
transit has to be studied very cautiously.

Should any house have a Zero point from any planet in
the Sarvashtakavarga, then the effect of the transit of
Saturn and/or Mars over such a house will manifest as
worries and obstructions very prominently. During such
period the native may experience non-cooperation from
his assistants, subordinates and even from friends and
relatives. Natives having Rahu or Ketu situated in the
sign or Nakshtra of Saturn or Mars in the natal chart,
may experience similar result due to transit of Rahu or
Ketu over zero point house.

Mars transits faster. Hence its effect is for lessor period.
In case Mars retrogrades over a sign where any planet
has got Zero point then the effect of Mars transit might
be experienced for a longer duration. The effect of
Saturn will last for about 2.5 years.

The effect, of Saturn and or Mars transit over zero point
in any house, will reflect as per the Karakatva (both
natural and functional) denoted by the planet, which
scored zero point in that house.

Sun is a cruel planet and it will also show its cruelty
during its transit over the house where any planet has
got Zero points and this effect might be experienced for
a month. However, this effect will not be severe as Sun
is not a natural malefic planet. Such effect will last only
for one month only every year in the Mahadasha of the
lord of the house having zero and also in the
Mahadasha of samdharmi planets to the lord of that
house. The effect of Sun’s transit will be experienced for
the matters indicated for the house/s for which Sun is
karak and root karak in natal and kal purush chart. For
example for cancer ascendant Mars is giving zero in
Libra sign. Lord of Libra is Venus. Hence some negative
result will be experienced in the Mahadasha of Venus or
its Samdharmi to Venus for the matters covered by Sun
as a karak or root karak. This means in example chart
native will have some negative effect for 7th and 12th
house along with 3rd, 10th house matters. The reason
can be due to the matters indicated the houses ruled
by Mars. Since every year Sun will have its transit over
Libra sign in Oct- Nov. months. Hence every year in the
Mahadasha of Venus native will face some problem
repeatative every year in above months. In above
example chart native may face disturbance in his daily
rourine work, some unnecessary expences or may get
cheated etc in Oct-Nov.

EFFECT OF SADESATI:

Saturn requires about two and half years for transiting in
one sign. When Saturn has its transit over three signs
adjacent to natal Moon in chart, Means 12th sign from
Moon, the sign in which Moon is situated and the 2nd
sign from Moon. The total time taken is about seven and
half years, and is called as Sade sati.

During this time, generally people have lot of fear and
tension for imagined malefic results. However, it need
not be so in all the charts for all the 7.5 years.

KAS gives us a good insight on how to study this
phenomenon using Ashtakvarga and accurately judge
how this much dreaded transit of Saturn will actually
unfold.

The laws of KAS state that, if Saturn in its Ashtakvarga
has 3 or more points in 12th house from Natal Moon
sign, in the Natal Moon sign and in the 2nd house from
the Natal Moon sign, then the native will not experience
any hardships in this complete transit of Saturn. If the
points are less than 3 in any of the above mentioned
houses, then during the transit of Saturn through such
house, the native will experience some troubles and
worries. The magnitude of such hardship will depend on
the SAV points of Saturn for those houses. The lower
than 3 points Saturn scores in SAV, more problems the
native will face. The seven and half year can be devided
in three equal parts of two and half year each. 2.5 year
is the period of transit of Saturn in one sign. The hard
ship will be experienced only in the transit of Saturn in
the sign having less than 3 points. Other signs having
more than 3 points Native will not face any hardship due
to the Transit of Saturn through such signs.

If Saturn itself has 0 points in any of these houses then
during the transit of Saturn over such house, effect will
be more pronounced and that will be for two and half
year only (transit period in that sign only).

WHY SADESATI IS NOT FOR TIMING OF EVENT:

This effect of Transit is restricted to the environment
only and not for timing of event. Events can happen
even during this period, however the environment effect
during the time that is experienced by the native might
be more challenging if Saturn has less than 3 points in
the above mentioned houses.

Now, in some cases, the antar dasha and Mahadasha
both would be very favorable and also the points of
Saturn might be more than 3 in 12th house from Natal
Moon sign, the Natal Moon sign and the 2nd house from
Natal Moon sign during the transit of Saturn in those 7.5
years a person may reach great heights.

WHICH HOUSES ARE EFFECTED DURING SADESATI?

The malefic effect of Saturn in sade sati is concerned
with the house as per its karakatva which means the
effect will be felt mainly for the 5th house, 6th house and
7th house from Moon with respect to Saturn’s transit
from moon in the 12th house, 1st house and 2th house.
Moon is a very sensitive planet hence such effect of
Saturn is felt mentally. If any of the houses, i.e. 12th
from moon sign, moon sign, and 2nd house from moon
sign has a zero for any planet in the natal chart; effect of
Sade sati will be drastic. Such person will face
harassment from all corners of life. In such case he may
face non cooperation, unnecessary blot or charges and
mental fatigue. Excessive pressure of such things will
lead to depression and loss of confidence.

HOW TO READ/STUDY A CHART/HOROSCOPE:

The procedure for reading any chart should be as
follows:

1) Cast the birth chart with the proper date of birth,
accurate time of birth and place of birth. The
longitude latitude of the birth place must be
ascertained. Use only Krushana’s Ayanansha only.

2) Cast the Vimshottari dasha as per Moon’s
longitude.

3) Cast all the worksheet for the twelve houses for
finding the strength of all the planets for each
house.

4) Cast the divisional charts.

5) To ascertain the correctness of the birth time, check
some past events which have already taken place
in the native’s life.

6) Check the timing of those events, and find the
antardasha and check the points of antardasha lord
in the worksheet. Ensure that all the known events
match with the antar dasha of the proper strong
planets.

7) If occurrence of events does not match then correct
the birth time by trial and error method. If the event
has occurred in the antara of the planet before the
antara of the powerful planet, birth time may be
increased by few minutes. If the event is seen in
the next antara, then reduce the birth time. By this
trial and error method we may come closer to the
birth time. By this method we can tune up the birth
time up to nearly the correct birth time. But always
remember if the native is not sure about his birth
date and time and no hospital record is also
available, no prediction can be given. Generally the
hospital record of birth time may vary by few
minutes. For rectification of such time we can adopt
above methods.

8) For premature birth or birth due to C section events
of such native may not match with the work sheet. If
the date and approximate time of conception is
known, then only the birth time can be rectified. The
nakshtra of Moon at the time of conception and
at the time of birth is always same. Due to
premature birth or C section this may change.
Hence in such cases, nearest moon’s nakshtra of
conception should be considered and time should
be rectified accordingly, to match all the events.

9) The chart can be calculated manually by using KAS
Program. Using KAS program is more accurate as
the KAS Ayanamsha is embedded in it to enable all
calculations automatically. This program is freely
available on KAS web site. For better accuracy we
suggest to use only above computer program.
Avoid manual calculation of the chart.

LIST OF SPECIAL LAWS OF KAS:

Every planet is the karak for the sixth sign from
its own sign. if the karaka planets are debilitated, the overall
results will be affected.

Venus, in Krittika Nakshtra, (ruled by the Sun),
loses its positive karakatva and becomes negative
for marriage.

Jupiter in Libra (Jupiter lord of Pisces situated in 8th
house from Pisces) loses all of its benefic qualities
particularly for marriage.

If Venus is less than 3 degrees from Sun, the native
is less inclined towards sex or is unlucky in matters
relating to sexual satisfaction and/or marital
happiness. Such natives are more inclined to wards
their career.

If Venus is more than 43 degrees away from Sun is
not good for marriage but can give better lift in
career,

Should such Venus be placed alongwith Jupiter or
the 9th lord, such bad effect gets nullified.

If such Venus is in the navamsha of Jupiter or the
9th lord, then also this effect gets nullified.

if a karak planet is placed in the Focus House B, the
result of House B will be good and it will give better
happiness and satisfaction.

The Karaka of the karaka is known as the root
karaka.

The Navamsha lord and ansha lords of Karak
planet are known as Karakansha.

The effect of the sight is always opposite to that of
the BAV points of the planet in its Ashtakavarga for
the place it is located.

Planets with 4 points will give a neutral effect for
their sight.

No negative sight on ABC houses, of the lords
of D and E houses and planets situated in D and
E house with more than 4 points.

malefic sight of lords of D and E is not
considered on other planets. But benefic sight
is taken in consideration.

Any planet which aspects a signifying house(s)
(ABC), does not show his willingness to come
forward to give the result of house “B” in its sub
period, except lords of D and E houses.

Some powerful Samdharmi planet, of the planet
having its aspect on houses ABC, can come
ahead to give the result in its antardasha.
Samdharmi relationship is explained in later
chapters.

When two planets are situated in one sign and
one constellation they become Samdharmi to
each other.

Such planets become more powerful
Samdharmi if they are situated in same
navmansha.

Every house changes its meaning as per the
age of the native.

The Divisional charts are used to check the
status of the Root Karaka.

In order to evaluate the result of any house its
Karakanshas and Root Karakanshas have to be
relocated / remapped in the natal chart.

If the Karakansha lord is situated in House B the
event will be achieved early without much effort. In
some cases such result may be achieved before
time.(page 99)

Blessings of mother are very important for the
overall success in life of any person. 101

the Functional Karakas are more effective than
Natural Karakas.102

Anshas of Saturn: indicate the memory of the
native.

Mercury anshas indicate the brilliancy and power of
logic.

Mars anshas show daring and risk taking attitude.

Jupiter anshas show the diplomacy of the person.

Venus anshas show the inclination to wards art and
enjoyment in the life.

Sun shows the fondness of authority.

Moon shows the mental status of the native.

The word “Samdharmi” means “same law, same
custom or same peculiarity”.

Venus and Saturn, Mars and Sun, Mars and Moon
are known as Natural Samdharmi.

Samdharmi planets will never come forward in
supporting malefic results.

Samdharmi will come forward to act as
Samdharmi only for benefic results.

All the happy results take place in the antra of
powerful planets (planets having more than 12 points).

To pin point the probable date, we look to the transit
of Sun. The Probable Date is related to the transit of
Sun in powerful Planets having good points for the event.

BENEFIC PLANETS IN KENDRA:

Benefics in Kendras are not good. Benefics usually get more than 4 points and
therefore their aspect will be malefic ie negative. All benefics LIKE
Ve, Me, Mo, Su, Ju have 7th aspect from their respective position.
In a native's life the most important is the life, and health
ie 8th house as HoB, 3rd house as HoA, and 12th house as HoC.
Now any benefics placed in Kendras, will not aspect these 3 houses
and will be eager to give results for 8th house.
Only Ju from being in 7th house a Kendra sthaana aspects 3rd house.
But Ju being in 7th house which is 12th from 8th
house can give bad result.

Therefore, all benefics in Kendras give bad results.
Ju in any house will aspect 5th house from itself.
That means when Ju is placed in Kendras (HoB), from its position
Ju will aspect HoC and will not give results for HoB unless it
also happens to be the LoD/LoE.

We can easily say that Benefics in Kendras are not good and
that is what is meant by Kendadhipati Dosha.

WHAT IS THE NEXT GENERAION OR HOUSE C?

Lets take 1st house and 5th house. 5th house is House C for 1st house.
The Nakshatra lords are same and also lets say if 2 planets are in the exact
same degrees in B and C house then they will come together in the
ame navamsa as well. This will imply that their inner energies are
also the same and their focus is same.

So House C will become the subordinate to House B and as the child is the next
generation to SELF so in that context its called Next Generation

HOW TO CHECK/SEE COMPEXION AND STRUCTURE OF NATIVE IN PHYSICAL APPEARANCE:-

(Take only karakansha's)

The Karaka for Lagna and Sun lagna is Saturn and Saturn is also placed in the
karaka house for Moon Lagna.
Hence native will have Saturn influence on his Physical appearance.

Same way he will have Venus effect too (8th lord from Moon).

Karak of Lagna and Sun chart is Saturn and navmansha lord of
Saturn is Moon known as karakansha
Moon is situated in 5th house of the natal chart (Libra sign).

Karak of Moon Lagna is Venus and it is situated in Swa navmansha.
Hence Karakamsha of Moon chart is Venus. It is situated in Lagna
house. Hence the complexion of the native will have effect of
Moon and Venus along with Saturn.

Saturn is a planet of truth and hard work. Hence this native will not like any
cheating and will adhere to ethics.
As all the karakansha lords of Lagna, Sun and Moon chart are situated in good
house, hence the Native will be God fearing and noble.

8th house (11th from 10th) shows scolarship. If more points by
the same planet in 8th indicates scolarship.

Lord of D or E can take points from the planet/s in it's 4th
place, even if these are with 4 points.
If you put the name of planets below planets having 4 points,
it will take points only for the house it is lord of D or E.

WHICH ARE PLANES IN A NATAL CHART:

House B (lagna) is the physical plane, House C (5th house) is the
Mental Plane and House A (8th house) works on the Spiritual plane

Planes are classified as followed:
Kendra house 1,4,7, and 10 belongs to physical plane.
2,5,8,and 11 house belongs to Mental Plane.
3,6,9, and 12 house belongs to Spiritual plane.

When there is less points in any house less then 84, means the
person will not get full happiness for that house.
points in 2, 6 and 10th house represents the arth triplicity.
(Economical side) These points are less, indicates debt.
Points in 4th, 8th, 12th house represents Moksha triplicity, all
the houses are having more points (91,86,92) Person likes to live
very levishly.

EFFECT OF MOON IN SCORPIO SIGN:

If moon is in Scorpio perticulary in JEYSHTHA (lord Me), person is
emotionally more rigid. If Jupiter is in the fourth place from such
Moon, he will not make any unjustice to any body.

If the planet is 2nd lord, having its transi from 4th house,
it will creat shortage of funds, or more debt.( no incoming , 11th
house) In transit the planet gives the result of 4th and 8th house
from it self

No planet directly gives the result for the house it is having
it's transit

Most important thing, if Sun, Moon, and Lagna being in the
dreshkona and trishansha of Saturn, the person can immidiately
understands partner's view. So he will avoid the dispute.
The Moon in Scorpio also makes the person more adjustive. Yes
he will use very rough words.

Moon in 12th house, enhances the effect of delayed marriage.
if other factors are presents, and if Moon is in 12th house, it will
increase the delay.

Here we apply the laws of vedic astrology. Sun in third can
give two mothers, only if it is in dreshkona chart also in 3rd house.

For Example Mercury in fifth is said to be good love life
and happy married life. it can not be the case every time. But if
Mercury is in perticular degree and is in 4 d charts in 5th house
atleast, can give such result.

WHEN KETU WILL NOT GIVE RESULT:

Ketu which represents two planets in 1:7 relation ship,
then it will not give the result only for the house B whose lord is
one of the planet represented by Ketu.

EFFECT OF SIXTH LORD PLACEMENT WITH MORE POINTS IN A HOUSE:

When sixth lord is situated in any house with MORE points then
considering that house as "B" it will increase the
result of that house, but at the same time at the cost
of the houses it aspects. Sixth lord always gives reverse
result then what is seen. When any planet is with less points,
it's sight is benefic. But for sixth lord it will be reverse.
It's presence in any house with more points
will reduce the result of that house.

The effect of 12th lord on 2nd house is reverse of 6th
lord. it may give more happiness from the company of opposite sex.
Where as 6th lord reduces it.

HOW TO CHECK DEGREE- (PADVI)

4th house indicates knowledge, (Training in some special
field, bachler in teaching, some skill work courses, welders,
fitters, turners, machine operators, etc will be covered by 4th
house. 5th house is 2nd of 4th house. It indicates the degree from
the knowledge. But such degree must be similar to M.B.B.S.,
Engineering bachler Degree, Degree in Commerce etc. ( Such degree
should be such that it should be applied to general field.) Any
special degree in some special field (Limited knowledge) may not be
seen from 5th house.

Again P.Hd or similar master degrees must be refered from
9th house. (6th from 4th)For 9th house 4th is Karak, knowlege gives
the result of 9th house.

For the chart 2 what type of degree the person is having is
important. If it a training to teach mentally retarded it may not be
called as degree.

WHICH HOUSE IS SEEN/CHECK FOR HIGH SCHOOL DEGREE?

This is 4th house from which you can see high school degree.
It called a degree, (PADVI) If it is just completing high school
studies it is not a padvi. So for this case consider 4th house only.
Passing any special Exam, Which gives some status to the
person, 5th house for degree, along with 6th and 10th house should be
considered. 9th for Post graduation. The sub dasha lord must be
powerful for all these houses. Before finding this, the navamansha
lord of 10 lord from Lagna, Moon, Sun should also show interest of
the person in the line, in which he is giving Exam.
Yes intelligence is very importance.
For hard work, Mars is responsible. More Points in 10th also
indicates hard work. Moon in the sign or Navamansha of Mars, gives
more hard work. Saturn is for laziness.
The sub dasha lord must be having good strength in all the
houses will be more preferable.

HOW TO CHECK/STUDY MULTIPLE DEATHS IN A CHART?

When a death occures in Tripad or Panchak
Nakshtra or the funeral made in those nakshtra, there
three or five death occures. Tripad Nakshtra: Krutica, Punarvasu, Uttara,
Vishakha, U. Shada, Pu. Bhadrapada. (total Six)Ruled
by Sun and Guru. Panchak Nakshtra: second half of Dhanistha,
Sattarka, Pu.bhadrapada,U. Bhadrapada, Revati ( Total
4.5)Last five nakshtras.

HOW TO CHOOSE AMONG TWO SAMDHARMI PLANETS:

In that case we select the planet not aspecting house B.

WHEN SUN VENUS DISTANCE IS MORE THAN 43 DEGREES:

Sun-Venus distance of more than 43 degrees, changes the mentality of the person.
It may lead to the native having extra marital affairs or multiple marriages.
But at the same time this may have better effect on the working of the person.
This is due to increase in freedom of Venus, which make the person
to read the minds of the other persons very easily. He becomes
more tactful in handling people. This quality may be helpful at
the work place and in the society

HOW TO STUDY A BEGGER'S CHART:

2nd house from Kendra stan ( Vishnu Stan) are known as Dhan
stan of those stan. Means 2nd, 5th 8th and 11th houses. This are
called as Panfer stan. Pan means A stake, or prise. Panfer stan are
the wealth of the Kendra stan. 2nd is wealth of 1st, 5th is wealth of
4th (degree of education), 8th is wealth of 7th, ( wealth of spouse)
11th is wealth of 10 house, (return of the work)
If the points in all these houses are below 28, and points
in 12th are more then in 11th house, Person can not save any money,
and his daily income will be consumed in the day it self, even it
will not be sufficient for the day's expences.
He is a begger, and alms is only the source of his income.

HOW TO CHECK DIVORCE IN A CHART:

Divorce or the end of the marriage. here are some laws/rules below
to check divorce/separation in a chart. if there are three zero
given by planets in sav. in navamansha mars and venus are in the
sight of saturn, makes the person more sexy, may give more relation
out of marriage (may be a reason for diverce). four planets gives less
points in worksheet for 7th house. venus is in the constellation
of sun, (in krittica most worst results) but gets spoiled in
sun's constellation. if we see the relation of 5th and 7th lord
those are 2:12, which shows some dispute when the friendship is
converted in marriage.

WHAT IS THE EFFECT OF 6TH LORD IN 2ND HOUSE:

Sixth lord in 2nd house with more points, person may not have
sufficient wealth, but he will not face shortage, and his name will
be counted in wealthy persons

WHAT IS LAXMI-STHAN:

Same thing is denoted as Vishnu stan and trine of 10th is 2nd so
Laxmi stan. 2,6 and 10th house are artha triplicity. Out of these 2nd
is mental plane, 6th is spiritual plane and 10th is Physical plane.

When the kendra lord 10th is in 2nd, trine to 10th is a dhan yoga. The
meaning of this is taken as parivartan between kendra and trine
place. The parivratan yog between 10th and 2nd lord is more
powerful dhan yog.

GRAHSHIL CHAKRA:

It is "Grahshil Chakra",(Grah = Planet, Shil = conduct) Means nature of the
planets. This
chakra (chart) gives the Own sign, debilitate, favorable, Multrikona,
signs, and friendly relations/ enmity between two planets, and about
their sight. GrahShil Chakra, though it is called as chakra, it is found
in tabular form.

This chakra (chart) gives the Own sign, debilitate, favorable,
Multrikona, signs, and friendly relations/ enmity between two planets, and
about their sight

It have following information. For Example Sun: Own Sign (Swashketra)
= Leo, Ucchashketrani (fortified)=Arises, Fortified area= 10 degree,
Debilitated =Libra, Debilitated area = 10 degree, Mul Trikona=Leo,
There are four types of sight, Ekpad (1/4 sight)=3,10, Dwipad (halg
sight)= 5,9. Tripad (3/4 sight)= 4,8, Sampurna (full sight)=7,
Tatva= Tej, Dishabal = East, Stanbal = Dasam, Kalbal= Madhyanha,
Vatadidosh Pitta, Ling = Purush, Mitra Planets = Moon,Mars,
and /Jupiter. Sam Grah = Mercury, Shatru grah = Saturn, Rahu, Venus.

HOW TO CHECK CHART FOR A MENTALLY RETARDED PERSON?

Generally for mentally retarded childs one thing is generally
found, the third lord is in fourth house or with fourth lord, and
fifth lord is in 2nd house or 2nd lord. Fifth lord makes 6:8 or 2:12
combination with lagna lord. Very rarely we find zero point in
sarvastak chart. Rahu generally afflicts the Moon, or Moon is
situated in the constellation of Rahu or Ketu.
If we go for the chart of conception, Moon and Mars are
effected by Rahu, (see in rashi and navamansha chart)
Other then these no special symptoms are indicated. If we
study the chart of Mother and father, in fathers chart Saturn in most
of the cases is situated in 10th house, and 5th house/ lord of 5th
house are affected by Mars and Rahu. For Mother it may be 11th house
ot 11th lord

WHICH DIVISIONAL CHART IS SEEN/STUDIED/CHECKED FOR PAST KARMA:

For past Karm, we should refer to Dwadashansha chart. For this
case it indictes Chandal yog in the past life (Chandal = an out
caste) In dwadashansha chart Jupiter and the lagna lord Mars are
aspected by Rahu.

WHAT IS CHANDAAL YOGA:

Jupiter with or effected by Rahu indicates chandal yog. From
Dwadshansha chart it is for last birth. If such things are in the
chart, the person is inclined to do some low work.

HOW TO STUDY ACCIDENT IN A CHART:

We select 7th house for accident, and 6th for Health factor.
One thing only for 8th house matter, means death we consider that
death happens only in the sub of powerful planet. For all remaing
house, more points means good and less points means bad or painful.
Here for 7th house Mars is with less points, so it can give accident.
Now this mars is with good points for 6th so she will be cured. Now
for 8th house mars is weak so no fear for giving any bad result.

EFFECT OF SATURN ASPECT ON SUN AND MOON:

Saturn is having it's sight on Moon and Sun ( both luminaries) Indicate extra
sexual attraction, and extra venusion qualities( Living very lavish
way, having more female friends, spending money foolishly in parties
and similar way etc.

SATURN IN 4TH PLACE FROM LAGNA LORD:

For laziness, Saturn is responsible. Here it is in the
fourth place from Lagna lord, it spoils the quality of the person for
doing hard work.

Again if we see the tenth house from Lagna and Moon
Points in sarvastak are less than average.

EFFECT OF RAHU WITH MOON:

The Moon effected by Rahu in Rashi chart and in Navamansha it is with Rahu,
which spoils the concentration, and make the nature of the native some what
eccentric.

Yes Rahu, is a important factor. When Moon, Mars, Jupiter are
associated with Rahu, changes the qualities of these planets. Moon
associated with Rahu, creates some mental problem, some type of
complex. When Rahu and Moon difference is more then 15 degrees, The
person dreames impractical things. Always thinks he is doing some
what different, do not accept his fault. Rahu nearer the Moon
increases the problem. The effect of the sign and the constellation
in which they are associated is also important. Different types of
effect are seen in different signs and constellaion.
Regarding Mars and Jupiter we had a short discussion

When Mars afflicted by Rahu, aspects any
house or lord of the house, it creats some problem. It
do not deny the child birt is on better side

Mars if efflicted by Rahu, reduces the happiness
for the houses it is situated and also houses it
aspects.

Position of Rahu in chart of a native, resembles with his parents. Similar
experience is with Saturn and Jupiter. So it is said
it also give heredatory effect ot result of past
deeds.

HOW TO CHECK OR FIND LONGEVITY IN A CHART:

For finding longevity in general, we should consider 3rd
house. For 3rd house if as per worksheet, if the all
planets are having more points, then we can consider
long life. But along with 3rd house we should also
consider 8th house. It is in reverse for 8th house. If
all the planets are having good points means short
life.

IMPORTANCE OF D-10 CHART TO STUDY OR CHECK LONGEVITY:

For longevity or result of 8th house of natal chart, check status
or position of 10th house lord of natal chart in D-10 divisional chart.
Tenth house is rootkaraka house for 8th house in natal chart.
Make an general understanding. The mahadasha or antradaha lord can be
related to the phalansha of D-10 divisional chart.

FOR LEO ASCENDANT, VENUS MAHADASA CAN NOT GIVE DEATH:

For leo ascendent, venus can not give death,
because it is having karkatva for life and death also.
(it also, lord of 10th house which is lord of a for
3rd house) 3rd house indicates life. in such case any
planet situated with more point in 3rd house or
samdharmi to 3rd lord can give the result in it's main
period. if the planet is lord of 3rd and 10th house, means it
is having karkatva for life and death both. this is possible
with mars and venus only. in such case samdharmi to this planet will
also not give the result.

If the main period of Lord of "A" or it's samdharmi is in the late
in the life, indicates long life.

In the event of Death perticularly, the lord of A should not
have sight on the main Upchay houses. The event may happen in the
main period of lord A or it's samdharmi. Samdharmi comes forward
mainly when the main lord (A) is having it's sight.
This can also happen in the main period of the planet
situated in 3rd house with more points. If two planets are situated
in house A then the planet is having more points will come forward,
if it's main period is coming first.

HOW TO CHECK DEATH BY SUICIDE:

Suicide is unnatural death. When Moon is afflicted by Rahu,
or sixth lord, or Saturn may cause unnatural death. If the Lagna lord
aspects such Moon with malefic sight, it will make more chances for
unnatural death. If the 10th lord in navamansha chart is situated in 6th house
or with the lord of 6th or Saturn, Native is likely to dies by poison.
If the 22nd dreshkon lord (add 210 degrees to Lagna sign and
degrees gives the 22nd dreshkona) Occupies in 5th and first sign from
Moon, and or Lagna, Death may be due to suicide by hanging. ( fifth
and 1st house are D and E for 8th house. Check message #3643

WHICH ARE RULES FOR DELAY IN MARRIAGE:

1.Saturn is a slow moving planet and that causes delay by its nature.
2. As root karak for marriage, Guru is a slow moving planet and it can cause delay.
3. 0's in SAV can cause delay (1 zero might cause delay in antra,
2 zeroes can cause considerable delay
and 3 zeroes has the potential to give very large delays or deny marriage as well.
3. Delay due to Karaks and their inner energy which is also called Karakansha.
4. Venus is natural karak so to study its status is very important. If its spoilt then there will be delay.
Venus is a very sensitive planet. It gets spoilt under specific conditions that are given by Guru ji in
lessons.
5. Guru is natural root karak or mool karak. If its spoilt then too there will be delay. Guru in libra has
that effect on marriage. Guru aspecting LoA and LoB or their house has that effect as well.
6. Delay due to the inner energy or latent energy of these planets i.e. Karakansha. So
7. Delay due nature both physical and mental nature and psychology of the native also has the potential to
cause delay. For example Sa with Mo is of this nature. This has to be studied very keenly as this is
dealing with psychology of the native.
8. Delay due weak planets and that is from WS. For example, 7th house has all weak planets then
subsequent antras might not have enough power to give happy marriage. If 5th house has less power
and 12th also these are important house dealing with emotions and bed comforts so one must study
these as well keenly. This is particularly important for studying charts in the West where Arranged
marriage is not the traditional or normal way of marriage. The cycle might be 12th/5th and then 7th and
in India in general its 7th, 12th and then 5th.

HOW TO RECTIFY BIRTH TIME IF BIRTH IS BY C-SECTION:

As per KAS, if the birth chart is C-Section birth or due to some
complication there was an operation and child was given birth earlier
to the destined time. In that case, one should correct the birth time
in forwards manner or moving next Lagna and so on which ever suits
to match the past events. As per KAS, if the birth chart is C-Section
birth or due to some complication there was an operation and
child was given birth earlier to the destined time, then in such
cases the time recorded is NOT the correct time. One cannot
play god and try to change the destiny. Conception time and
Aadhna nakshatra is very important. Thats when life is infused and
the exact birth is after 10 cycles of moon and natural birth
happens in the same nakshatara of conception. This is the
science behind it.

HOW TO RECTIFY BIRTH TIME IF BIRTH IS NORMAL:

One may rectify the birth time matching previous Lagna and so on.
So we need to adjust time backward manner.

MORE TIPS ON SIXTH(6th) HOUSE LORD:

6th lord if its aspecting 6th house or 1st or 10th house if its with
more bindus then it will not make itself weak. Benefic aspect of
6th lord on any planet then those points are not to be considered
as the 6th lord is making that planet powerful and that power that
is added by 6th lord is not good power. Students must understand
how the planets are getting powerful in the Worksheet or loosing
power as well. The 6th lord will spoil the result of the house and
we are not to take the positive power added by 6th lord for house
other than A B C D E houses for 6th house.

NATURAL UPACHAYA HOUSE HOUSES FOR KALPURSHA CHART:

Now also note the natural upchaya for 1st house are Mercury and Saturn.
3rd = Gemini
6th = Virgo
10th = Shani
11th = Shani.
Now Mercury and Saturn rule the upchaya sthan in Kalprush chart for 1st house.
The more powerful is Shani the more is the grasping power. It rules
natural 3rd and 6th house. Which means it is KARAK for 8th which
is 5th from 4th house. 4th is knowledge and 8th house is research
or "next generation" of 5th just as lagna and 5th is self and child
the next generation.

EFFECT OF JUPITER(GURU) AND VENUS CONJUNCTION:

Guru and Venus are KARAKS for each other so their relation and
dynamic is very important. Both are very powerful planets.
Both are Guru's so when both conjoin or aspect then Both will act
noble as both control each others KARAKTWA. For Taurus,
Sag is Karak sthan and for Libra, Pisces is Karak sthan.

EFFECT OF ASPECT OF JUPITER ON VENUS:

if Guru aspects Venus then it will check it. Now assume in the
above case if Venus is spoilt or the law becomes active in a
chart but Guru is aspecting such a Venus in Rasi or Navamsa
then it will Check it and make one very hypocrate. Such deeds
will not come out in the open and the person will do things in
clandestine way.

EFFECT OF RETROGRADE AND DIRECT MOTION OF VENUS:

When Venus is direct, means Sun is between Earth and Venus in
astronomical sense (Venus is Behind). When Venus is Retrograde,
then Venus is between Sun and Earth. Venus will be ahead in this case.

UNDER WHICH CONDITIONS JUPITER CAN NOT RECTIFY/CHECK SATURN DELAY:

When Jupiter in nakshatra of Saturn, Jupiter in navamsa of Saturn, or
Jupiter in sign of Saturn or Jupiter in Libra, then Jupiter can not
modertae, rectify Saturn delay.

HOW TO CHECK MARRIAGE QUALITY?

5:9 House combination – 30 pts (GOOD)
3:11 House Combination – 20 pts (GOOD)
4:10 House Combination – 10 pts (MODERATE)
1:7 House combination – 10 pts (Hidden respect for each other)
2:12 House Combination – 5 pts (TOLERABLE)
6:8 House Combination – 0 pts (DISPUTES)
If planets are in one sign, then check their degrees. If they are
closer than 15 degrees, then consider them as a 4:10 combination
and assign them 10 points. If the planets are more than 15 degrees
apart, consider them as a 2:12 then 5 points accordingly.
After adding up total points: ABOVE 50 points – Good, happy and
harmonious married life. Below 50 points Indicator of many
disputes and differences of opinions in the marriage.
Anything totaling 0 point – 20 points is a reason for a delayed marriage.

In male chart, if 5th house or it’s lord is afflicted by Mars and Rahu
it may lead to abortion, scissoring, mentally retarded child.
In Female chart if Mars afflicts 11th house/lord, similar result
is noted. In addition to this presence of Mars and afflicted by Rahu
in 2nd house also indicates similar result.

WHAT IS GOTRA VANSHA KUL OR DYNASTY IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY:

Ninth house in Male chart also indicates grandchildren. It also
indicates ‘Gotra’, ‘Kul’ or ‘Vansh’ of the person. (a race, dynasty,
family) If there is zero point due to any planet, means discontinuity
or obstruction in expansion of the race. This alone can not give the
result of being child less. For confirmation, we should also refer
points in 5th house. If 8th house is having some trouble, it
may give such result. This is not applicable in female chart.

WHICH ARE PANFAR AND APOKLIM HOUSES:

Subjectively, the first, fourth, seventh and tenth houses are called
Kendra houses. Second house to these Kendrasthan is called Panfar
houses. So 2nd, 5th,8th and 11th houses are called Panfar houses.
Similarly 3rd, 6th, 9th and 12th houses are called Apoklim houses.
That is, 4 Kendra houses, 4 Panfara houses, and 4 Apoklima houses.

Kendra Bhavas (1st, 4th, 7th, 10th houses)
Panfar Bhavas (2nd, 5th, 8th, 11th houses)
Apoklim Bhavas (3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th houses)

Panfarsthan are the wealth of the Kendrasthan. 2nd is wealth of 1st
house, 5th is wealth of 4th house (degree of education), 8th is wealth
of 7th house ( wealth of spouse) and 11th is wealth of 10 house
(return of the work). If the points in all these houses are below
28 in Worksheet, and points in 12th are more then in 11th house,
person may not save money in life.

WHAT IS THE EFFECT IF 3RD LORD IS PLACED IN 6TH HOUSE:

Third lord means Parakram lord goes in the house that controls 11th i.e.
success and tries to grow 11th house matters. Now a person can become
rich by "stealing" i.e. thief and using his parakram in bad way or
antisocial way or he migth grow his wealth serving othesr of a good
cause and being a role model citizen.

WHAT IS THE EFFECT IF 12TH LORD IS PLACED IN 8TH HOUSE:

Jupiter rules natural 12th and 9th house. As natual 9th lord its in 8th
house i.e. in 12th from 8th which is not conducive to matters of luck. A person
might have to face hard ships. Now as 12th lord in 8th house, means its upchay
for 3rd house i.e. 10th from 3rd and its placed in 6th house from 3rd therefore
the results of 3rd house will get enhanced. Therefore such a person will have
to work hard in life. Now it means the opposite house of luck (9th) house is
triggering which is hard work.

HOW TO STUDY THE 10TH HOUSE IN DETAIL:

by D60 at later stage in life.

WHICH ANTARDASHA CAN GIVE EVENTS LIKE LOSING JOB, DIVORCE OR SELLING HOUSE:

For any focus house, result is acheieved in the antradasa of lord of E or D.
Similarly, end of this house event may take place during antradasa
of lord of E or D taking karaka house as focus house. So, for divorce look
for 2nd house, for job, look for 1st house, selling house look for
11th or 9th house as focus house. Then try to find lord of E or D
from this houses, which can give an idea for such events.

WHICH PLANET'S ANTARDASHA CAN GIVE A NEW JOB:

For any lagna of natal chart, sixth house is always taken for the job.
So, find out 3rd house and 11th house lords of natal chart. During
antradasa of these planets, one can find a job. Third and eleventh lords are
lord of D and E (upachaya houses) for 6th house and these can trigger
for giving a job.

IN WHICH PLANET'S ANTARDASHA CAN ONE LOSE THEIR JOB:

In natal chart of any lagna, in antradasa of 6th house lord or 10th house
lord, one can lose job. If any planet has more than 15 points or
less than 12 points for 6th house in worksheet, one can also lose job
for some better job. Samdharmi of 6th and 10th house lords can also
come forward for such event. Less than 12 points for 10th house in
worksheet can also indicate job loss.

WHICH PLANET'S ANTARDASHA CAN GIVE MARRIAGE:

Lord of house D and E can give marriage. We consider 7th house for marriage.
So applying Upcahaya house theory, lord of 6th(E)and 10th (D) house
from 7th house can trigger to give marriage. Therefore, in antradasa
of 12th and 4th house lords, marriage can happen. This rule holds good
atleast 60% can give marriage. If these are unable to furnish result
for some reason, Samdharmi to lord of D or lord of E planet can
come forward to give marriage.

WHICH IS THE GOD PARTICLE HOUSE IN A NATAL CHART:

Any planet placed in the 8th house from its own house spoils its karkatva.
12th house of the natal is considered the "God-Particle House".
Any planet placed here will have its karkatva enhanced in positive direction.

HOW TO COMPARE 11TH HOUSE INCOME WITH 12TH HOUSE EXPENDITURE IN NATAL CHART:

When we compare 11th and 12th house, if points in 12th house
are less then in 11th house, means the person is saving from his
income. Or his income is more then his expenditure.
This statement is relative. Only it means that the person
fulfills his needs and save some. Suppose Saturn is situated in 12th
house, (it's sight on 2nd, 6th and 9th house) indicates more
expenditure, (No wealth/ property from father etc,) person do not
care for money, In such case if points in 12th are less then 11th,
indicates very good income.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LORD OF E HOUSE AND LORD OF D HOUSE:

There is a difference between D and E. Result of house B is
some what dependable to house D, and result of E is based on the
result of B. For Example: 6th house for service or source of income,
here 3rd house is 10th from 6th house and is house D, denotes
Parakram, Courage, Daring etc. It is required to accept any
responsibility, and 11th house is house E, which is income. When some
one will have a job, he will get income.
Say for 10th house, which is success, and behind every
successful man there is a female (7th house) for 10th house 7th house
is house D. Again due to authority due to 10th house, one gets
courage, means 3rd house (house E).
For 7th house as B, marriage, one must have his home house D
(4th house), and he gets comfort after marriage house E( 12th house)
2nd house represents wealth, may be created if he will have
good income 11th house, house D. This also generates KAM ( Ichha) 7th
house house E.

WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE OF DBCE HOUSES OR 3RD 6TH 10TH 11TH HOUSES FOR ANY HOUSE:

We should take DBCE houses or 3:6:10:11 from 'A' house, which gives
the idea of the results for karkatva of 'A'. the result is connected
to house 'C'. For being a successful businessman 3:6:10:and 11th
should be in increaseing order from ascendent and or Moon.
This also gives good authority, good position of authority, or
ownership, with some persons working under him.

Please note that if a person gets good points for a perticular
house, then he have to loose some thing. He can get his success at the cost
of some other house. For Example if a person have points in 4th house,
7th house, 11th house, and 12th house in increaseing order, then we
can say he is getting good marital life. At the same time his
expenditure is more then his income. He enjoys the life, but with debt.

CAN KRUSHNA'S ASHTAKAVARGA SYSTEM BE USED FOR MUNDANE ASTROLOGY:

Astakvarg system can be successfully applied to mundane astrology.
It indicates the Share market fluctation. The chart of the
country should be perfect. Independence day Chart of India
is known. This system applied to transit with the IIndian chart gives
very good guideline. I my self do not have any experience in this field.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN MAHADASHA LORD IS FAVORABLE BUT ANTARDASHA LORD IS UNFAVORABLE:

There it is clearly mentioned that if the sub lord is favorable and the mai
lord is unfavorable the result will be favorable. Similarly if the main
lord is favorable, and sub lord is unfavorable then the result will
be unfavorable. Still some persons follow sub sub also. There is no
write up about this in ancient books. It have been added after wards.
This all things may happened due to wrong trac, followed by the persons
and some research scolors. If we go for the result oriented system,
we get the result only if we follow the sub period.

HOW DOES THE 12TH LORD FROM FOCUS HOUSE(B) AFFECT THE RESULTS:

Any relation with 12th lord, it will give bad result, relations means increase
in points due to sight, 12th lord being in tenth place from any other
planet/s, and gaining points, or it is in 4th place from any planet, even
if the planet in 10th are lord of 'd' or 'e', effect of sight on any house,
from house 'a' (from which it is 5th lord or lord of a and 12th from b are
lords having 9/5 relation ship), it will give bad result.

HOW IS MANGAL DOSHA OR KUJA DOSHA CALCULATED AS PER KAS:

As per Krushna's Ashtakavarga System, if Karak or RootKarak are in
navamsa of Mars and Mars aspects 7th house, then its worst if its
in 1st house as 7th aspect is the most malefic one then there might
be denial of happiness or the happiness of 7th house would be devoid.
Mangal or kujha dosha will be there if this Mars aspect 7th house.
For more details, watch this Guru ji's video explaining Mangal dosha.

WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF SATURN AND MOON CONJUNCTION IN A SIGN OR NAVAMSA:

Satrun and Moon conjunction can delay the marriage event from
40 to 45 years of age. Saturn is a slow moving planet and Moon is mind.
Saturn can cause distraction for worldly matters. So delay for
marriage can be there. If this conjunction is in same navamsa, this delay
can be upto 45 years. Sometimes, Moon in Saturn navamsa or viceversa
can also delay the marriage.

WHAT IS CONCEPTION AND ADHANA NAKSHATRA IN ASTROLOGY:

The Moon completes about 13 cycles of the natal chart each year,
influencing a woman’s reproductive capacity, which aligns with her
roughly 13 menstrual cycles annually. Over a lifetime, this results
in 350–475 periods, with changes occurring after every 13 cycles,
also affecting how the ovum interacts with X and Y chromosomes
allowing prediction of a child’s sex with up to 85% accuracy.
Conception can occur between 10 minutes and 10 hours after mating,
and the Nakshatra present at that time, called the Adhana Nakshatra,
plays a vital role. The child is typically born around 272 days
later, with variations depending on health, and each woman’s age
and the corresponding constellation further influence the determination
of the child’s sex.

HOW DOES KAS PREDICT "CHILD ADOPTION" IN A BIRTH CHART:

If any planet in the 5th house is with more than 4 points, and if it is
aspected by the 5th lord with more points, the person adopts children.
The marriage, when no child is there, generally happens in the antra of
the planet having fewer points.

WHAT ARE "BLESSINGS AND POWERFUL BLESSINGS" AS PER KAS:

In natal chart, when lagna lord and ninth house lords are in 5:9 ratio,
we call it blessings for the native. Similarly, we check taking Moon
and Sun lagna. If in all three lagna, lords of lagna, moon and sun are in
5:9 ratio with house respective 9th lords, then we call it a powerful blessings.
Blessing are like armour for the native. These can moderate or nullify
delay for an event. The person might face less difficulties in his life.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "6TH HOUSE LORD AND 12TH HOUSE LORD":

6th hosue lord spoils the result where it is placed where as 12th house lord
enhance the karkattwa for that house. 12th house is also called god particle
house. There is a difference forr both. Sixth lord spoils and 12th lord enhances
the result.

"HOW TO USE EXCEL SOFTWARE":

The excel software is designed to calculate each and every part of
ashatakavarga right from bhinashtakavarga to saravashtakavarga and
then this calculates worksheet which shows power of planets to give
timing of event. Sarvashatakavarga is studied to check power of each
house where as worksheet for all 12 houses shows strength of planets.
If in worksheet points are less than 12, then the planet is not willing
to give the even during it's antradasa and viceversa.
